I used to feel the same way as Kronii did when it came to falling asleep watching a movie. But nowadays, with work and other stuff so stressful and the company and the movie so peaceful, it'd be a miracle for me to stay awake.

My mom falls asleep whenever we're watching movies as a family, too.
She doesn't fall asleep within the first 10 minutes usually, but somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour she does and then she wakes up during the last 15 minutes of the movie.

I went to the theater to watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I bumped into a senior teacher from the same college and he bought the seat next to me. He fell asleep half way through and woke up near the end. He said there was too much talking and the fights are too few.
He's an old school kungfu movie enjoyer- the ones with drawn out fights every 5 minutes. This new style of Western character heavy story telling with fewer fights doesn't fit him.
Yeah because most actors with a leading role nowadays have an immense ego and think that the movie should highlight them as a character rather than the actual fighting the movie is supposed to be about. It’s so stupid, sometimes I just want to enjoy the general plot of a movie, not the egotistical actors who think it’s all about them.
@@mineapple6726 That's what I''m looking for these days. I used to love, I still do, shonen anime but now I skipped a lot of grand fights after One Punchman and Mob Psycho. It's all about characters. I recently watched Bruce Willis's Mercury Rising and I enjoyed watching his character learning to interact with an autistic child. Even the side characters are great to watch.
