I loved watching this video! Now I know what the guy who keeps my Florsheim Imperials looking new does when he has my pair. They always come back looking fantastic. I enjoyed this very much! Thank You for putting this video up!
Hey Randy, you can but it's tough to get all of the pock marks and wear spots out with just a light sanding, youd have to sand further to get them to be smooth again and you'd be sacrificing some life of the sole
Wow painstaking job well done 👍 What is the name of the leather you put on the sole of the shoes? I live in the UK i might send my shoes over to you for exact quality repairs to duplicate the exact manufacturer process with Rendenbach leather sole and heel, combination leather rubber heel top.
This customer went with our mid grade Black Forest brand, it's still oak bark pit-tanned leather, like the Rendenbach soles. My brother and I have black forest soles and Rendenbach soles on our respective work shoes and are seeing which ones will wear out first!
We have gotten to know our stitcher to the point of knowing where to set the stitch length based on where the original holes are! Sometimes I'll stitch a little on a scrap piece of sole to make sure they match up.
When putting tacks in a sole or heel I usually use brass but I had these coated nails that resembled the originals a bit more so I went with them in this particular situation
@@peabodyshoerepair9135 thank you for your reply. But how does the steel comply with leather attachment, what about wooden shanks? What is your observation regarding that.

Beautiful Job, I own 2 pairs of Florsheim Imperials Amazing SHOES!!!
Thanks you, my father was a cobbler, triyng to follow his steps, you got a new subscriber!
Fantastic job mate just found you I’ll keep watching I have a Shoe Repair shop in Australia 🇦🇺 keep up the good work 👍
Hey Mario! Do you have an Instagram account we could keep up with?
Yes marioshoeservice
Found your channel quite by chance and have subscribed, I love the shade of dye used on the soles, gives a really classy finish
Hey thanks! We appreciate you checking out the videos!
My great grandfather was a cobbler so it's fascinating to see the skills he might have had.
I have to thank you for all the replies I see you post on this. Your pricing is great.
Great job!! Nice touch on the heels.
I notice you only get the “hot” cork from the factory. Looks like he put on Rendenbach soles, which are great.
Skilled cobbling, enjoyed viewing!
Good job sir can you tell me how much cost repair pair of shoes like this thank you
Nice video. Question. Can one sand the outsoles and then dye them to bring back to new? Or is that something that is not advised?

That wheel waxer 16:53 sounds like Chewbacca haha.
Awesome work by the way!
amazing work, it's too bad you had to use framing nails on the sole! Should have been able to find nails closer to the original at a hardware store..

Do you keep a snack pickle in your apron pocket for a mid stitch snack?
I have a question: How can you hope to match up the stitching holes when you can’t see them?
We have gotten to know our stitcher to the point of knowing where to set the stitch length based on where the original holes are! Sometimes I'll stitch a little on a scrap piece of sole to make sure they match up.
This is one awesome video... thanks.
HOW TO CONTACE YOU?
Excellent job!
Very nice video -- thanks for sharing..............
Great Work and very nice personal touch? how much is the cost?
That particular job was $125
Very good video. Need to adjust your audio, but otherwise good job on resoling some classic shoes.
Asmr, good deal man.
Why not brass nails so they dont rust ?
When putting tacks in a sole or heel I usually use brass but I had these coated nails that resembled the originals a bit more so I went with them in this particular situation
What is the shank made off?
The original shanks were fiberglass but we replaced them with steel ribbed shanks

Wooden shanks work well, they break more often than steel but if a shoe comes in with a wooden shank and it's intact we will re-use it

A bit sloppy with the iron nails, especially the big head 5 nails near the mid sole, those could have been smaller heads. Over all C-
Great job! But I just can’t imagine how slippery this whole leather sole will be.. especially in wet surface😂
Yes it's definitely a risky choice with the leather heel! Haha
What makes these shoes slippery is not the leather heels but all the nails in them. I have 3 pairs of leather heeled shoes and they are fine.
D William agree. As long as u are not walking in wet surface or manhole cover.. leather heels are fine.
H Sun - i guess you have walked on a dusty marble lobby of an office tower. I have. No more pure leather soles for me, nails or no nails.
Sounds like Jonsi and Alex playing in the background. “Happiness” I believe from Riceboy Sleeps.
Can I be your apprentice
Bravo!
Those oversized nails in the soles killed the overall look! 🤦🏽♂️
you must only fix about 8 pair aday, alot of steps that dont need to be done, land the neddle, lmao too much time on your hands
Nowhere near the quality of Bedo's.
We aspire to that level of craft! Maybe someday!
prettygrunt I disagree, he did just as good, just didn’t talk as much.
@@peabodyshoerepair9135 great answer for such a comment! btw your talent is obvious.
that's just nonsensical, this was a completely fine job.
Great job. I prefer less banter and less hammer time
