Came across these by accident. Being from England I never knew this programme was done on the radio. I will be listening to some more of your postings. Many thanks "OTRR"

@@venetianortrup8693 Thanks Venetia, I have listened to some of them, and enjoyed Hopalong, Have Gun, and Gunsmoke (which I particularly like) . I watched Roy Rogers on television which as a child I enjoyed, but it does not do anything for me on the Radio. The TV versions of the others I have mentioned were also hugely watchable. As for the others you mention, I have never heard of them but will give them an airing in the future. Greetings from Scarborough England.
Try Romance of the Ranchos from 1941 for even more differences, including Los Angeles with a hard "G". th-cam.com/play/PLlUoyloCGlWw6jFok3oRjG3g0uc5NfqE6.html
Wow that was a disturbing story, the way that Black people were treated and the way they responded, cowed down, subservient, apart from the end of official slavery little had changed. Its hard to believe that this still existed within living memory. What is it the American National anthem says " the land of the free and the home of the brave", I wonder?
Why do you see the wrongs of the past without acknowledging the progress in society now? The past is wrong but so is wallowing in it and ignoring the changes in race relations. And if you care to notice, truth and the law did prevail because good men saw an innocent man, not his skin color. If anything the National Anthem speaks better for all Americans today because such people prevailed.
This is one of my favorite episodes in this series. ❤️
