@@garryrobson3634 i agree but surely slowly stocking the pond and gradually increasing the food is better than over stocking. In my experience the more fish initially put in the longer it takes to mature the filters.
Lovely pond aesthetically, but with that grade of fish, rocks shouldn’t be below waterline, especially as no bottom drain so chances of issues are higher then fish will flash against the rocks and you’re in a viscous cycle…🥴No amount of oase filtration will compensate for that floor area without removing solids.
Beautiful Fish, but the pond isn't very koi friendly with all the sharp ragged stone in the pond. Keep a good eye on the fish for flicking and flashing. And dirty birds bathing in the waterfall, with the risk of parasites , disease and infections. I would also be scared of a fish jumping on the waterfall. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, worrying about herons etc.And the fish really needed to be added latter on in the season. One of the best natural looking pond, I've seen. And it really needs a net on it.
Do love a great inground koi pond Anthony.. Very nice benigoi
Absolutely love that goshiki
Beautiful pond and stunning koi
Are the filters matured ? If not, is that not a lot of koi to put in to start a pond off ?
It's more to do with the amount of feed than the number of fish. The filter won't mature without the fish to start the nitrogen cycle.
Yeah, hell of a lot of fish to add in one go!

Nice to see a natural looking, interesting Koi pool instead of the normal run of the mill, sterile, raised, rectangular box tank.
Some stunners there sir, love the natural look ( ov the pond)
Cheers Terry,
Beautiful pond, excellent selection of koi.
