This is Male bulbul. I have also 4 pieces.. They are so good to live with their owner... I had one tamed female too. She was free fly ..but lost her one day.. She probably lost the way.

Hi Sparky was 1 week old when it was abandoned by it's parents in my garden in 2017 after a predator attack on it's nest. Since then I kept him with me.
Oahu Hawaii red-vented bulbul population is growing. I found one while walking on the street still baby I just released oct.22,2023 is a male.i a nice pet.
Am a bird watcher..Its not a dance..the parent birds displayed this while i went near to their fledging babies(nestlings) to deceive me..the next day they did the same infront of a snake to mislead the snake to not to come near their babies(nestlings)
The bulbuls make a irritating sound call of "kirrrrr kirrrrr kirrrr" when they feel threatened and want to scare away enemy. They flap their wings in a jerk successions to scare away enemy. What Sparky is doing is a courtship dance. He does this in summer season when it's mating time for bulbuls. You may please google check the info I have provided.
No this is showing mating behaviour. Its a dance to impress a female. The thing you are disscussing is something else. Have observed that too many times
