As a Tang Soo Do stylist, one thing that irks me a bit is that everyone refers to the Kim character as "sensei". Sensei is a Japanese term. Kim is South Korean, who teaches Tang Soo Do. Although it is Korean karate with Japanese roots, it would have been more correct to call her either "kyo sa", "sabum" or "kwang jang" (depending on the character's rank) which are Korean terms. Kreese was called "sensei" because the creator of the franchise, Robert Mark Kamen was a black belt in Okinawan karate so all he knew was Japanese terms. Cobra Kai had no backstory back then, it was neither Japanese, Korean nor Okinawan karate. It was just karate. The writers of the show created the Tang Soo Do backstory for the art.
"Kwon" vs same aged version of Mike Barnes would be a fight from hell. "Kwon" vs whatever Daniel was after KK3 would be crazy too because Daniel had evolved beyond Mike Barnes by that point so it would be two 18 year olds who can BOTH beat Mike (not sure Kwon could actually) vs each other. 18 or 19 year old Daniel vs "Kwon" of the same age if it could happen would be a crazy fight.
She should have had to fight (and lose since she is a villain but not without putting up a great fight first) Hillary Swank (Julie Pierce from Next Karate Kid). It is from a literary standpoint a very good idea to have the most advanced FEMALE practitioners from the 2 main styles be mortal enemies and archrivals. Maybe the Seki Taki (world tournament) could have a division for female senseis with several dozen of the best women karate fighters in the world and just as Bloodsport ended with Chong Li and Frank Dux the final match in that division would be Kim vs Julie.
I think Robbie should have to fight Kwon in the final match and win but only by the width of a silk thread and after his 50.1/49.9 victory be badly beaten up and totally exhausted. Robbie should win his division of this tournament because he is the son of the main main character (not a typo, there are several "main characters" on this but like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars I consider him to be the "main" main character) and in season one foreshadowing he seemed to have the most natural ability and best genetics for it. Plus he got cheated out of his win in the first All valley of the show and lost fairly in the 2nd but he lost to one of the 2 people who cheated on him the year before by unfairly damaging his shoulder and even then he barely lost. I consider him to be the all around best of the teen characters on this show due to the CONSISTENCY of 2 very close 2nd places compared to each person who beat him not placing at all in top position in the other year. Same reason I consier an Olympian with 2 silver medals to be superior to one with only one medal even if its gold. Hawk and Miguel both had their "day in the sun" and now its Robbie's turn. Robbie should be the total underdog in the fight but like Rocky manage to eke out a win against Kwon.
She is the most beautiful Korean martial arts instructor I have ever seen.
She's not really a martial arts instructor dude. She just plays one.

She is the most beautiful combination of actress and martial arts sensei in the entire nation of South Korea.

She is so beautiful and lovely and plays such a strong, fierce character convincingly.
She is the 2nd most beautiful woman on this show after Daniel's wife.

She is a beautiful woman. ❤❤❤❤❤
She is amazing ❤
Agreed, we love chatting with Alicia!
She is so beautiful
Not sure why this is her only acting job that I am aware of. She should be more famous.

We'd love to see Hilary Swank in Cobra Kai, that would be a fantastic fight indeed!
Wow, she is very beautiful.
Is kwon take part in part 3?

No one in cobra kai has a real accent 😢
I really love Kim’s accent
