    This is Marc the mason from Deerfield NH. I went down to Walton Beach Florida to visit my 11 month younger brother. Way before Desert Storm. Some time in the 1983 or so. I drove the 1969 Chevy caprice with a 327 down to see his project 1967 Comino. Yup two NH boys got in southern turbel. These days I am sporting a 1986 four door K30. Removed the overheated 454 for a Jessy James 383 h.t stocker six wheel drive dooly with a 400 turbo. Been in there since 2007 and carburetors and timing 32dergrees at 4000 rpms is a trick with out Hei. distributor spring kit. Haven't had a drink since 1987. I am 59 too.

    I joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1977. I only chased one GTO. I now know who it was. Harvey your story made me laugh. I grew up in a logging - farming family. I owned a 396 Beaumont and lived away out in the hills. Was cutting wood yesterday but still 3 feet of snow here in northern New Brunswick. Stay safe and keep on keeping us entertained. Love your videos.

    Love your stories as usual Harvey!.Great idea on the intake gasket removal on the Husqvarna 61!.. My son David is a full time Paramedic in Ohio. FEMA is using him right now for 2 to 4 weeks in New York City as we speak. He always wanted to see New York City. Yesterday after his 12 hour shift was off at midnight they were going to the 911 Memorial. Please remember him in your prayers Harvey!. God Bless all who are serving this country during this crisis!.. Show the Love & be Kind!.. 😉😊☺️

      I completely agree with the sentiment in this comment, but the funny things is that even a thumbs down is a good thing for the channel. One of the strange things about the algorithms TH-cam has created.

      But at least say why you gave a thumbs down so ironhorse can maybe do something different. Maybe its just somebody that doesn't like power saws. Great story. My dad had a friend that had a 1969 Plymouth super bird 426 hemi 6 pack. It was a 4 speed car. I won’t say how fast it was because no one will believe lol. Love those old cars. • @retiredwelder
      @retiredwelder 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve Theriault yes. Yes they sure did. This particular car with the gears he had in it would do 200 mph. Not many people believe that which really don’t bother me. But that car was like a jet. The faster it went the harder it hugged the road. Just amazing cars.

    Back in the 1980’s I think most police officers had that “Roscoe P Coltrane” syndrome going on, or was it “Barney Fife”, any way you looked at it, they were after anyone who was in their teens to early 30’s and served in the military!

    Great video Ironhorse. Thank you for your service and your conversations with us. You have a way of making us feel as if we are sitting at the bench with you. It’s truly awesome. Your story reminds me of my dad when he was growing up. He had a 67 Mustang Fast back, factory green. He always said he never was under triple digits on the weekend. Lol. There was a S curve in the back roads that many called dead mans corner, well my dad always wanted to “switch lanes” in that part of the road. He did, went from gravel on one side to the other side, opposite lanes. All said and done, I know where my love for speed comes from hence my screen name. Lol. My dad was and still is a crazy guy.

      Loved to play that with the cops. We did one once where we got everybody together down in a campground with all non alcoholic beer. Must have been 40 of us then called cops and said there were a bunch of kids partying. Bout10 min later 3 cars roll in the parking lot. It was dark. They get about 30 or 40 ft from us and kick lights on. Everybody scattered for no reason. They all chased us around the bish for a bit. They werent happy when they couldnt bust anybody for anything.

Another cop in Atlanta tried to pull me over in his hot rod Valiant. I don’t think I saw him, either, after I down shifted into 3rd and put the pedal to the metal. Hi Harv, I know I posted in April 3's Gasket video. but in seeing this oil pump clip, here is another area of saws I have never had to disassemble or replace. My current saws I have partially torn down are some old timers, a Stihl 051 and the other is an 075. I am pretty sure I read somewhere about making sure their oil pump setup was 100% working and 100% and leak free. My biggest concerns since learning about how saws are meant to run without killing themselves is to ensure no air or vacuum leaks anywhere. Carb, Intake, exhaust etc. Have you worked on the Stihl 051/075/076 type saws much? I have a pretty good grasp of all the parts I have inspected and disassembled to where I am just short of splitting the cases. Here lies a whole different scenario as I have come across different type tools and methods needed for things like "stuffer vs non stuffer cranks" etc.

      @@scottbennett6494 Back then the little town I grew up in, all three cops pretty much knew everyone by name.
      Plus there wasn't but a couple us that had trucks that were motivated so to speak, and the other fella lived outside of town a little ways up the only road we had into town.
      He had 71 GMC that was gold, and mine was a brown chevy, but we both tended to be rather heavily modified, and they knew it was either him are I.
      Usually all they ever seen was our tail lights fading over the few hills we had, but they looked alike from that view.
      They knew it was one of us, and they'd either wait for one or other to come back down the road, are even get out to feel the hoods to see which one was hot.
      They'd talk at us, and tell our dad's, but hey, it was all a game in the end, because even if they caught you, they'd use the old, I'm gonna talk to your dad routine, and walk off shaking their heads.
      They knew that they're POS ford couldn't keep up, and we broke the monotony in they're boring shift for them. So I'm sure they were smiling on those occasions, but they weren't gonna let us know it.
      stay safe out there n be well

    Oil pump doesn’t work correctly. The reason is - it does not say Stihl on it.
