Quintessence open the Raja Ram's 3 CD Anthology and what a great collection it is. Really groovy stuff. Some amazing jazz flute by Raja Ram and great guitar solos and tunes. A really great collection of tracks from a legendary band in the London Psychedelic movement of late 60's early 70's.

I saw them live in Glasgow they change my life directions. .I still have my finger bell to this day..
so good to have this around,by the wonders of 'you tube'. takes me right back to places like the lyceum london where they played a lot ,with their joss sticks and entourage playing all this stuff. would be great to have it still, though its always there to savour.
they come up to Candleriggs, Glasgow, which was a great venue. the English prog. and psychedilic bands were loved up here as we had never seen anything like it.

I saw Quintessence at Birmingham Town Hall in 1970 with Ravi Shankar. The band came alive when together on stage in a quite outstanding and unique fashion. Sadly that fusion and power was all too short lived.
