This is actually inspired by a real story where a US Military employee dumped formaldehyde into the Han River in 2000-2001. This film is a great horror flick but it's also a commentary (like a lot of other Bong Joon Ho movies) on US & Korean relations.

Whenever I've visited friends who like horror movies I recommend it and everyone likes it. Minus the cgi at the end it's really good. I don't know if it got a second movie (as there is a teaser trailer for a second) but it was probably cut due to budget sadly.
I would 100% understand if some of those citizens would move to the US to blow a dirty bomb after what the US did to them. Seems like something the US would do IRL as well.
This is what happens when humans are careless and caused mutation of this creature if the humans would have left the creature alone he wouldn't have attacked now since he did killed people now the poor creature sadly has to be destroyed and I just hate stuff like this I want to see happy ending between creature and humans in movies.
