Man, the next time you go to do a water change, brush the water return nozzle, the cleaning crew, which are things you can take out of the reef, clean them in the waste water or in the sink tap just like you did with the rock, this way you avoid more spores of unwanted algae in your reef, it may seem silly, but it makes a difference... Congratulations on your videos, I always watch them.
A lot of times when setting up a new tank you’ll encounter different types of algae however the hermit crabs will work well as long as you’re feeding them as well.
@@sarahrosekhalil the zoanthids can contain a certain poison called palytoxin. Eventhough it is rare and not all zoa's contain it, the symptoms can get pretty bad.
Hi, yes during the setup I added a small bag of activated carbon that came with the set. On a system this small with a lot of nutrient consuming corals, a skimmer is not necessary. ;)
@@Mohamedhamed-ef3xq Hello, I have a 20 gallon aquarium without a skimmer, you definitely can, but you have to be consistent with water changes and testing for the mineral levels of the tank.
Thank you! Personally.. I’m not happy with the look of it yet haha. It’s difficult to figure out the right settings of the light and how it looks in the end on screen. I’m using a Sony a6400! ;)
As it’s a new tank I’m doing water changes once a week, eventually I want to get it down to once a month. March might have confused me with someone else! 😜
@@DannysAquariums I have seen your other water change videos. Nothing wrong with water changes, and not suggesting it's a secret. Fragbox is quite often just a bit inconsistent with info for his reef fam! 🤣

Handling the corals with bare hands again. Be careful bro!
I know.. one day I’ll learn the hard way 🫣 I need to buy some new gloves.
@@emieloss7229 excuse my ignorance, but why can’t you touch coral with bare hands?

i had the same exact problem with my crabs! You could call the red crab "Sebastian" from the little mermaid!
I like that name, great idea!
Looks great! Any plans to run a small skimmer Eg Tunze .
Also do you run activated carbon in your tank?
Thanks

Such a cool tank
Thank you! 🙏
Gorgeous
Can I make a marine aquarium without a skimmer and nano or not?

What is the size of this aquarium?
Wow 😮😮 , bro tank size ?

The guy who runs Fragbox TV stated in a recent video that you don't do water changes. 🙂

I’ll let him know haha! If you’ve seen my other videos.. I do water changes. It’s no secret 😉
