Splitting the map will do nothing for the health of the game. It fixes non of the core issues with optimisation. Look at customs after the expansion, it runs like shit now and it’s no bigger than it was before. Customs will be updated for performance. It's not a map like streets.... They've had plenty of maps that were updated or first released with bad performance and significantly improved it. Streets has ALWAYS been bad tho because of how insanely detailed it is and BSG's bad code.

I dont even understand how the game runs so bad, there are other open world unity games like rust that have no issue with big maps and tons of entities. You would think some sort of CPU / Server side culling system that only replicates needed entities on the client wouldve been added by BSG years ago.

Little did we know streets would become the standard for performance in the game. Customs, Woods, and many other maps went from running at 100 fps down to 40-60 fps. How is this acceptable????
It’s not acceptable? That’s why they are trialing things to increase performance like dividing the map into two sections. These are current issues they want to work on, at no point have they said the current performance is the goal stop being dramatic.

I can confirm, they did NOT fix the audio bug where reloading your magazine would cause the audio to bug out and make your game sound like you're under water. Played this morning, it did it every single raid with 4 different headsets (Com 4, Com 5, XCEL, Tac Sport). Also, splitting Streets doesn't mean there will be more players. You're going to reduce the size of the map, thus reducing the number or players than can enter each map, therefore you will likely not see an increase at all.
I hope they don't split it. I even played streets with a i7 and a GTX1080. Albeit with low frames, but still 30-40ish. Playable at least. I still loved the map and played it a lot.

Splitting streets will suck. It will only affect a minority of the player-base. Maybe netting 10 fps but that’s unlikely. There’s already very little incentive to make play the map. The only reason I do is because I’d like to get better and it’s a unique, dense city scape. If you split it up into two most will just lose interest.
Splitting it into two maps would actually be a smart move. Optimization should be one of their top priorities especially if they plan on 1.0 soon. Also still hoping they add two characters no wipe/wipe so I can finally grind and not lose progress
I want the map split. I get 100+ fps on all maps and 40 on streets. It’s been this way for years and I’ve upgraded my pc 50 times to run it and it still won’t. I’m utterly sick of it.
5% boss spawn chance and getting kappa in a week, is actually insane. Grats to him. Streets being split is fine since it feels like performance is just perma cooked, but it would have to be down the middle shortway. They would probably need to go away and redesign it as 2 maps rather then just splitting it. Make a lot more buildings around cinema/vehicle extract side expanded and enterable.
If they really wanted to slow down progression for veterans, they would cycle the first 10-15 quests. Not level lock them or whatever they did this wipe. Let players figure out new stuff. The magic moments of this game was when nobody knows the meta loot spots or the best places to peak. Also never had the no audio bug until after last nights patch. Hilarious.
Streets was awesome when it was small streets, the expansions haven't added much fun to the map, they've made it feel more empty. I think they should just revert streets to the original size.
I get invisible scavs in start of almost 3/10 raids. First 4-5 minutes of the map I am getting shot without any sounds and killed by scav, can someone help to fix this problem I did not find much answers online
When asking help for bugs and glitches should always share: CPU, GPU, RAM, which map etc., any detail might help. With just general infos it's very hard to help

@Carsa-is6vb so far most commonly happens in customs, almost every second raid, and in woods but a bit less like after 3-4 raids, when I play duo my friend can see the scav and kill him but I cannot see even when he is looting the scav I can see the friend moving over empty space
It would be awesome to have weapon paints available as extremely rare loot in the game, give you something to continue looking for even after completing things like Kappa.
@@yusufcanaktas6929 I have a 3080 and with the proper graphics settings I run around 80 fps average with mostly smooth gameplay. The game is also significantly more than just GPU usage. In most cases, the CPU and RAM will cause FPS issues more than the GPU will. There's also the issue of VRAM, which most people don't take into account and can definitely have an affect on your FPS.

BSG just has wrong priorities. instead of fixing the DISGUSTING performance and optimization they add stupid shit like christmas events, stupid ASMR videos, teasing new stuff and literally deceiving their fan base. This game is literally unplayable. Im on a 12700K and a 4090 and have about 60-70 FPS with almost lowest graphics possible playing in 4K. absolutely bizarre. Other games run smooth with insane FPS. Forza Horizon 5, max graphics 4K native with 180 FPS for example. and I also don't give a damn single F*** with the "CPU heaviness" of this game. 12700K released 5 years after Tarkov so it should be handled well. Streets unplayable. BSG should get their shit together and fix their game or building it from the ground up in an engine they can handle. If there is even such a thing. Worst developer out there with the most unoptimized game ever.
Streets would be very small , id like they increase the size and improve somethings to get optimization for other players or a very low resolution mode for people without good pcs
The only way to slow down the early wipe is to time gate the tasks in some way. Also with that keep the flea closed as well. Some random guy got kappa in a week. To me it's sad to actually speed run to kappa, it take so much from actually playing the game.
Streets was suppose to consist of three different maps to begin with so we will see if its "splitting" or if its just a another unreleated streets map.
They should just reduce the amount of accessible indoor rooms. That's eating up all the optimization. Should have done so beforehand in development and add more rooms later if technically possible.
I do hope, with skins, Nikita sticks to not making them something you have to pay for. Originally the idea was to just find cans and spray patterns in raid far as I remember.
How do you even get Kappa right now? I've done all the quests for 0.15 and the newly added ones in 0.16 in PVE but have never had the collector unlocked. Edit: Just checked again, PVE also has collector quest unlocked. Thank lord.

I hate the idea of splitting streets in two when it takes 7 to 15 minutes to match make. It might be cool enough if it was a 30 second loading screen as you moved from one area to another but not the way transits work in the game right now.
The mistakes they make is just insane. I was able to extract with the secret extract password. It's in my stash right now. I'm not surprised they didn't think of it given their track record. You can just pay the btr driver to take it out.

I do not like the idea of splitting streets. This update made customs run like trash for me. There’s a reason that a map that really didn’t get the Much has now tanked my performance. There’s serious optimization that needs to be done. Streets actually runs a bit better than customs for me now so what does that tell you.
Its honestly time for them to end with expansions. Optimize the game performance and anticheat. Fully release it and then do a season pass for long term financial security. I'd love to see tarkov on console in the future

Its a nice thing to partialy cut streets in 2 cuz not a lots of people can buy a 4k dollars pc i have a brand new 1900 dollars pc and its still struggle to run the game flawlessly on 1080p i will upgrade my ram to 48gb and my GPU to 12gb cuz 8 is not enough in this game.
But its not just a few people that have "bad pcs" matter of fact its not bad pcs, but the game, im not saying its bad but a normal budget pc cant get a stable framerate on streets cause there is close to no optimization. I love tarkov and i agree that it might ruin the vibe of streets, but i think we will be just alright with the map being split up if not even better off this way.

Well, extract camping is quite literally a core feature of the game, since it has extracts. Would be kinda silly to not take advantage of a place people frequently go with loot on them, so i suggest you try it.
Streets is one of my favorite maps. Splitting it would make me not want to play the entire game. Keep streets the way it is, and just optimize the game better.

Streets is playable (there's still room for improvement) on my i7-8700k and 1070ti. It's nearly an 8yo budget PC. If someone can't play Streets....Streets is not the problem

@snaker9er a big part of the playerbase is still playing on a HDD...no amount of optimization will make streets ever playable for them.
I want the map split. I get 100+ fps on all maps and 40 on streets. It’s been this way for years and I’ve upgraded my pc 50 times to run it and it still won’t. I’m utterly sick of it.

Streets being split is fine since it feels like performance is just perma cooked, but it would have to be down the middle shortway.
They would probably need to go away and redesign it as 2 maps rather then just splitting it. Make a lot more buildings around cinema/vehicle extract side expanded and enterable.
If they really wanted to slow down progression for veterans, they would cycle the first 10-15 quests. Not level lock them or whatever they did this wipe. Let players figure out new stuff. The magic moments of this game was when nobody knows the meta loot spots or the best places to peak. Also never had the no audio bug until after last nights patch. Hilarious.
Streets would create 2 veryyy mediocre maps. What makes it great is the size
Streets was awesome when it was small streets, the expansions haven't added much fun to the map, they've made it feel more empty. I think they should just revert streets to the original size.
You can goto streets and get anything you want. No other map offers the sheer volume of loot streets has.

I get invisible scavs in start of almost 3/10 raids. First 4-5 minutes of the map I am getting shot without any sounds and killed by scav, can someone help to fix this problem I did not find much answers online
When asking help for bugs and glitches should always share: CPU, GPU, RAM, which map etc., any detail might help. With just general infos it's very hard to help

@Carsa-is6vb so far most commonly happens in customs, almost every second raid, and in woods but a bit less like after 3-4 raids, when I play duo my friend can see the scav and kill him but I cannot see even when he is looting the scav I can see the friend moving over empty space
It would be awesome to have weapon paints available as extremely rare loot in the game, give you something to continue looking for even after completing things like Kappa.
About time on having some sort of skins. It just makes sense since even irl people have been painting their guns for decades.

@@yusufcanaktas6929 I have a 3080 and with the proper graphics settings I run around 80 fps average with mostly smooth gameplay. The game is also significantly more than just GPU usage. In most cases, the CPU and RAM will cause FPS issues more than the GPU will. There's also the issue of VRAM, which most people don't take into account and can definitely have an affect on your FPS.

Sounds like Customs may be the next in line seeing how poor performance has been.
BSG just has wrong priorities. instead of fixing the DISGUSTING performance and optimization they add stupid shit like christmas events, stupid ASMR videos, teasing new stuff and literally deceiving their fan base. This game is literally unplayable. Im on a 12700K and a 4090 and have about 60-70 FPS with almost lowest graphics possible playing in 4K. absolutely bizarre. Other games run smooth with insane FPS. Forza Horizon 5, max graphics 4K native with 180 FPS for example. and I also don't give a damn single F*** with the "CPU heaviness" of this game. 12700K released 5 years after Tarkov so it should be handled well. Streets unplayable. BSG should get their shit together and fix their game or building it from the ground up in an engine they can handle. If there is even such a thing. Worst developer out there with the most unoptimized game ever.
How much RAM do you have and at what speed are you running it?

Streets would be very small , id like they increase the size and improve somethings to get optimization for other players or a very low resolution mode for people without good pcs
The only way to slow down the early wipe is to time gate the tasks in some way. Also with that keep the flea closed as well. Some random guy got kappa in a week. To me it's sad to actually speed run to kappa, it take so much from actually playing the game.

Streets was suppose to consist of three different maps to begin with so we will see if its "splitting" or if its just a another unreleated streets map.
They should just reduce the amount of accessible indoor rooms. That's eating up all the optimization. Should have done so beforehand in development and add more rooms later if technically possible.

They need to optimize streets. Breaking it into two will just make two more problems.
I do hope, with skins, Nikita sticks to not making them something you have to pay for. Originally the idea was to just find cans and spray patterns in raid far as I remember.
How do you even get Kappa right now? I've done all the quests for 0.15 and the newly added ones in 0.16 in PVE but have never had the collector unlocked.
Edit: Just checked again, PVE also has collector quest unlocked. Thank lord.

I hate the idea of splitting streets in two when it takes 7 to 15 minutes to match make. It might be cool enough if it was a 30 second loading screen as you moved from one area to another but not the way transits work in the game right now.
Splitting streets would be dumb. Just make the map smaller. There’s too much dead space nobody uses anyways.
I lost all audio in woods bunker 10 min ago. They def didn’t fix that.

02:09 splitting streets, why not. But shouldnt they start to optimise the game ? Its like dlss. The tech is good but we have to use it because of lack of optimisation. So, i guess i'm not totally for the splitting. That makes them lazy and not optimising it.
I think they should optimize the game further, delete unused assets and art in large maps like Streets, rathern than split it which seems lazy to me...and I like the larger maps.

We really need SOMETHING that increases FPS in all maps, I have a 5700X + 4070TiSuper + 32gb ram in 1440p and game runs soooo bad with so much fps drops (avg 70 dropping to 50 in customs)
streets getting split just means that there will be no more progress on the current version, Nikita boasted numerous times that current streets is only about half done..
Splitting a map in half that’s already 1/4 of the size of what they were promising for years is insane. The map is the size of reserve figure it tf out
I think splitting Streets is just a very bad idea. Streets should be one big map, so let them work on optimising it and not make excuses or settle for anything.

I do not like the idea of splitting streets. This update made customs run like trash for me. There’s a reason that a map that really didn’t get the Much has now tanked my performance. There’s serious optimization that needs to be done. Streets actually runs a bit better than customs for me now so what does that tell you.
Its honestly time for them to end with expansions. Optimize the game performance and anticheat. Fully release it and then do a season pass for long term financial security. I'd love to see tarkov on console in the future

Its a nice thing to partialy cut streets in 2 cuz not a lots of people can buy a 4k dollars pc i have a brand new 1900 dollars pc and its still struggle to run the game flawlessly on 1080p i will upgrade my ram to 48gb and my GPU to 12gb cuz 8 is not enough in this game.
i think they should take a look at their quest structure, and quest lines...and not reduce exp and loot to 0%

Well, extract camping is quite literally a core feature of the game, since it has extracts. Would be kinda silly to not take advantage of a place people frequently go with loot on them, so i suggest you try it.
Streets is one of my favorite maps. Splitting it would make me not want to play the entire game. Keep streets the way it is, and just optimize the game better.

Splitting streets is terrible. Thats my favorite map and i built a new pc to play it at a good frame rate. I mean obviously it can play other stuff too but it will be a disappointment for me personally.
Streets is playable (there's still room for improvement) on my i7-8700k and 1070ti. It's nearly an 8yo budget PC.
If someone can't play Streets....Streets is not the problem
