  • On one day's notice, we went to Switzerland to watch my husband Chase compete on the Team USA Bobsled team!
Chase is on Team USA and wasn't planning on racing at all this year but when one of the guys in the European Cup circuit got injured and had to come home they called Chase to fill in!
We rallied the whole fam and we pulled it off! 5 of us went to St. Moritz Switzerland on one day's notice!
Chase and the boys competed against 33 other countries and took 10th, which was pretty good considering they crashed in the first heat and crossed the finish line upside down! Talk about stress as a wife lol!!!
We got to explore St. Moritz, had delicious food, tobogganed at Muottas Murgal, ice skated, went to a Swiss waterpark (not featured because I didn't bring my waterproof camera), and enjoyed our time at the infamous St. Moritz-Celerina Olympia Bob Run!
This Bob Run is the oldest in the world and where the sport of Bobsled originated! The same family who created the sport still maintains the track today! Its been passed down for generations since 1879!
The neatest thing about this track is the fact that it is the only track in the world NOT on a refrigeration system! This means that it's the largest ice sculpture in the world! The family carves the track out of ice and maintains it all season long! Other tracks are refrigerated and that means there is a lot more industrial infrastructure involved making the runs a lot louder and not as pretty as St. Moritz!
Thanks for tagging along our journey to St. Moritz, Switzerland to watch my husband compete in the Europa Cup for Team USA Bobsled!
