I think you got a lot accomplished. That path is beautiful. I am using all in game pathing for this, except the nature walk in overgrown acre. Loving seeing you gift your villagers clothing. They are rocking the fashion.

I think you’ve decided on this to some extent, but I think it would be fair for Dobie’s Acre to abstract the idea even more. You decided you can make items from the cardboard boxes, but I’d argue that you should be allowed to plant trees and use items crafted from clay and iron also. And I don’t mean using only the ones from the recycle bin, but since these are items that can be found in the bin anyways, and you have access to them without the bin, I feel like it’d be okay to reinterpret this rule a little. It’s sort of the same logic as with the beach items where you decided if you have the items in storage you can use them on the beach when the diy recipe appears. The recycling bin only produces clay, iron, trees, the cardboard boxes, rusty parts, and clothing that you can use (not counting the things you can’t use which are the wallpaper and flooring, and also not counting anything that might be put in there from the Nook Phone cleanup).
TL;DR I think for Dobie’s acre you should just expand the rule and say you can harvest iron and clay from the whole island and use that to craft items for decorating since this is all you get from the recycling bin anyways. Trees, I guess you can plant them as they come in the bin if it feels too cheat-y to get them from the store or other areas of the island.

Thank you! That’s a really good point. I think I’ll give it just a little longer, but if we get to February and still don’t have much to work with, I probably will expand it. We can’t leave our pal Dobie with a minimal mess! 😅
