8 days ago, I was searching for sad music to help pull out emotions. My mom had been on hospice dying of Cancer the previous 3 weeks. I never left her bedside. However, that day, the hospice nurse said she had 24 hours left if that.. Anyways, I discovered this song and this group that day. I played this song on repeat all that night, and I lost my beautiful mother at 5:55 am just before sunrise, on 6/22/22. That was a week ago today. I've literally had this song, Carry You, and State Lines on repeat non-stop since she passed...can't lie, the music has contributed to me crying probably 6 hours a day since, but it's helping to keep the emotions on the surface.. I feel so broken and alone. Im so lost without you Mom, I love you .
Anyways, not sure why I shared that, but the music is great in a lot of ways. Just discovered them.. now it will always remind me of this loss.

One my interpretations of this song is as follows:
The fisherman represents a man. As he is on his boat, it's a symbol of him living in this world day by day without any sort of connection towards anyone or anything else, especially a woman. As he is fishing, he saves this woman who happens to be a selkie (A woman who has the ability to live as a seal but shed her skin and live as a human as well). In folklore, once a man gets a hold of the selkie's shedded skin, she is to live under his rule and be his wife. The selkie represents a woman who happens to have another man in her life, but meeting this fisherman changes everything, as the fisherman might have saved her from a certain circumstance with her original love. This deed the fisherman has done for her has caused her to fall in love with him. As they live life together, the selkie cannot help but have this need to go back to the water. Water, being the original habitat of the selkie, is constantly calling her back, back to where she truly belongs (the water represents her original man she loved). But how can she leave the other man (fisherman) after what he has done for her? So instead she remains loyal to the fisherman, but it starts to physically and mentally take a toll on her. The selkie begins to avoid the water, but she can't help but think of it, reminisce of the water, the way it feels, the way it sounds, the way it smells... overall the way it is, and how the water and her are truly one, and cannot be separated for a long period of time. But again, her loyalty towards the fisherman reigns supreme. The fisherman, however, knows that she is suffering from this separation from the waters, therefore running back to her and hoping to save her from this unselfish, self-sacrificing loyalty she is giving unto him. He picks her up and runs to shore hoping she can live again (with the water), but he stops... he thinks... he feels the love for her running through every fiber of his being... but it's up to him now. Keep her and make her yours, or let her go, to be free with the water where she needs to be. The ending in my opinion ends with him giving her up to the waters, but as he is on the boat gazing upon the waters, it symbolizes the man always looking out for her, regardless of whether he is with her or not.

I fell in love with this person for 10 years. It was a high school love but it surely hit the best. This person made me feel like I'm joy riding at dawn under the blanket of stars. It's like taking a break on a rock in the middle of a hike and just watching the entire mountain meeting the seas - fresh air rushing to my lungs. God, it felt like eternal peace. But this person was never mine to keep but I had the best memories to keep. Nostalgia keeps on carving a scar on my heart. I miss the old times.

I listen to Novo Amor whenever things get too much for me and it honestly feels like coming home after a shitty day. Anchor is my favorite. No matter how much time has passed, this will always be my comfort song. And I'm glad I see people who can relate to it deeply like I do. I intepret the "ship coming in" with the expectant excited eyes of a loved one waiting at the docks for their returning partner.

I just want to say that Jesus loves you so so so much and sees you in all if this, knowing what makes you laugh, cry, and jump around dancing. He does it with you all the time, and loves you so more than you know. He knows so many things about you--your Creator and Hero. It's selfless love...which isn't romance, to help you understand. (Psalm 139 reference... the Passion Translation is just plain beautiful).
Normally, in the Christian community, we do a bad and job at reflecting God's character because we think that we need to be perfect and completely put together as part of the false world system that satan has seeped into the church. But rather, we're meant to know God in our mess, and thus, he sanctified. Christians are such broken people that God is bringing together again. And there's also too many fakers.
But God's main character trait? Love. Pure love. Selflessness. He's everywhere, even here in your brokenness, and you can't hide from Him. He wants to have a relationship with you, and I've literally been in the Presence, having spiritual oil cool off my head and manifest on my hands.
I wish I could show you how real God is. How much He wants a relationship with you, and how that's what you were literally created for. It's not a lie. It's true, and no lie or emotion could make it untrue.
Ask Him to reveal Himself to you...please!
God is the only Hero there truly in in real life and He's so amazing! He saves us from death and sin so that we can be make new. He's exactly what we dream of without realizing it. He has saved us from death, sin, and hell...and all you need to do is believe, and let that belief cause a change in you. Let it cause repentance. Let it cause you to want God. Let it bring you into a relationship with Him. Please, try it out!

when I was growing up there was this beautiful girl at my school and she always came in with a smile on her face and cheer everyone up I ended up walking her home quite often and weed sit in her room listening to music until one day she started to undress and I saw she was covered in bruses and my stomach turned my first clenched in anger and I left the next day I walked her home again taking my time about it getting her home later and later each time until eventually I took her by the hand and we ran back to mine where we would play games and listen to music like this and every time I hear music like this my thoughts are always of that girl.
I cannot express to much hatred I have for her family and anny family that treat ther children like this it important to me that depression is delt with it upsets me that this young girl had to suffer so much and keep putting on a fake smile for her friends.
I hope that something is done about depression and child abuse
