    Where do dynamic bone colliders come from? I don't have such a component. Is this something 3rd party that must be purchased from the asset store? Please let me know because I need collision detection per body part to know where projectiles have hit a player. A simple capsule or box collider for the entire body is simply not acceptable lol.

    Hey! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but there is no "dynamic" category when I go to hit add component in my inspector. I can't find any sort of Dynamic Collider script, please help! (The VRC SDK is imported)

      Make sure the Dynamic Bone package is installed. If you don't know what this is, check the Unity Asset Store.

      I was going to say the same thing as Mold- you probably need to purchase and add the Dynamic Bone package to your Unity file.

    Did i understand correctly you need colliders in order to interact with dynamic bones correct? Is this also the case with multiplayer dynamic bones from emmVRC etc?

    • @ObsequiousV4
      @ObsequiousV4 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without colliders, any part of your model will just pass through anything with dynamic bones, so yeah. Colliders will push around the dynamic bones and the bones are what control the movement and physics of the object they're paired to. As for interacting with other players I believe you need colliders for that but I'm not totally sure as I haven't tested.

    Do you happen to know what unit the "radius" for the collider uses? I put two dynamic bones in a collar pendant and I wonder if I can use a collider on the upper chest bone to stop the pendant from clipping into the chest.

    • @northinudog2877
      @northinudog2877  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but it sounds like that could be a good idea to try (adding a collider to your chest to keep a collar pendant with a dynamic bone from dropping into the body, I guess...?) It might work out really wonky, too, but it sounds like it COULD work- I would just make sure the radius isn't too large, and of course make sure the collider is added to the dynamic bone itself! (you can see a preview of the radius "bubble" when you add the collider) Good luck!

      I have a tie on my character and this works. If you have booba you might want to add multiple colliders for it to rest in the clevage area.

    Anybody that sees this can you help me. So everything is set, I have all m dynamic bones and colliders in place, but when I upload the avatar to vrchat they don't work. It's almost I never even put on any dynamic bones, my avatar is just stiff.

      I had this problem too. In vrchat, under Safety -> Performance Options make sure "Limit Dynamic Bones" is unticked

    Any colliders I put on aren't seeming to be read in testing or in vrchat- in my case legs clip through a skirt and hair clipping through the head. Any suggestions? (vroid model into unity into vrchat)

      In the inspector, did you add the collider to the dynamic bone scripts you wish to be affected?
