How in the world did you get GoPro footage to look this good? I’m always trying to improve the clarity and colors of my videos. Any tips? Are you using polarizing ND filters?
Hi Daniel, here some thoughts about the color: - in general bright sunlight is very helpful to improve the quality of a gopro video - I always use this gopro setting to get a good quality video: "2160p, 25 fps, SuperView, hypersmooth on" - the gopro 9 on the left hozizontal stabilizer had a ND16/PL filter, but this was only to reduce the reflection of the water. Usually I dont use such filters when flying over mainland. For comparison the gopro 8 on the left wing tip had no filter and the color of this camera looks very nice to me. - I always try to slightly adjust the color of all cameras to look the same with the "lumetri-color" tool in Adobe Premiere. I find this tool is very simple and has a great effect. - Cockpit view camera: The instruments are usually dark and the window/outside view a bit "milky" because of the windshield. That's why i always separate the video in adobe premiere into a top and a bottom part using the lumetry-color tool. I lighten the lower part of the instruments and make the upper part darker. Then you can see the instruments and the landscape better.
@@Flugabenteuer Awesome. Thanks for the tips! I’m running a hero 4 in my cockpit (I’ve stuck with it because it’s connected to my audio and works fine), a hero 11 on my right wing (I had a hero 7 out there but it vanished over Kentucky one day with my Refuel battery), I have another hero 7 coming to put on my tail and I was trying to figure out if I should use a polarize filter on it for my Bahamas trip next month to make the water look better. What model 16ND/PL are you using? I have noticed that if I brighten the cabin it blows out the windows…maybe I should figure out how to mask the windows and adjust separately in FCP. Thanks again
You‘r welcome! I use these filters, the lens can be twisted to adjust the polarization: www.freewellgear.com/gopro-hero109-black/721-gopro-hero11hero10hero9-black-filters-bright-day-4pack.html Have a nice Bahamas trip!
Depending on the situation time can be helpful, as different aircraft or helicopter travel at different speeds. For example a jet could travel 10 nm in ~3 min. but a light aircraft could take ~8 min or whatever. If other aircraft monitor the frequency and want to land at the same airport they know how many minutes they need to arrive. But in other situations a specific location can make more sense, for example when a controller asks for the present position.
Where do you suggest I look for an aircraft that says they are xx minutes from an airport? Do you suggest I ask the aircraft how fast they are going, and then do the necessary math to determine where the aircraft is located so I can get a visual? Waste of precious time. Or how about we conform to ICAO standard practices and use miles in the terminal area? #1. Other traffic do not have to do math to figure out where you may be. #2 non standard phrases lead to confusion. #3. Aircraft will arrive at an airport when they arrive, that’s what pattern entry’s and callouts are for, starting 10 MILES from an airport. If nothing else, ask yourself why ALL the other aircraft announced positions in miles and not minutes. Nice video otherwise.
I never related the beauty of this island. Its breath taking! Ya know Johnny you could turn it into a private rental for us normal people to visit for a fee. That would be such a gorgeous time out there! Just what you need to DEFRAG after a MESSY divorce right ! Thats the most gorgeous place Amber's ever seen. To his 2 beautiful adult children. We love you for being your own people. Also, how you both carry yourselves as young adults.❤💯

That short runway on that little tiny island i saw on my simulator this morning, it looked exactly the same. I'm doing what your doing virtually lol
Thanks for your video, I have visited by sailboat the area, with the dinghy inside Shroud key, it was so incredible

Ewald, once again an excellent video... and gorgeous Bahamian waters! Thanks. Wayne (DA40 KSBA)
Wayne, thank you! And thanks a lot for your help, it was very useful!! Ewald
Originally the lack of mountains made me less interested in this particular series, but the amazing colour of the sea is growing on me ;)
If you have seen enough Alps, you can get a short scene change here 😉😄🏝
Well actually Islands are peaks of mountains. 🇧🇸🌎🇧🇸
