  • How do you make UCO Titan Matches burn for over ten minutes? Make a Super Match. The Super Match is a waterproof, stormproof ignition source, tinder, and wax inhibitor/extender to make it burn slow so that it has time to dry and then ignite even the most damp tinder. This will certainly get a fire going in the worst of conditions. Overall burn time was over ten minutes.

    That is impressive as the demo after you showed the build of that road flare. I decided to create one or two and will test some variation of 2 or 3 of those large matches together. Again thanks. Glad I subscribed.

    I’m going to try this with regular matches. Or maybe the long reach ones cut down some. Good idea and maybe something you could market.

      I tried it with normal matches, if its windy (like on the day I tested mine) it's just blows out and you're left with a lump of wax. I'm re-doing it tomorrow with the storm proof matches instead 👍🙂

      @@GrayBeardedGreenBeret thought about wrapping the matches individually with the cotton and see how that works!

      Thanks, yeah these are pretty awesome. I have made them with every size UCO Match depending on the size of the kit I am putting it in and they all burn for a really long time. Just turns into a candle after the initial flare-up.

    The only thing that would make it better is to make it a strike anywhere match!

      That would make it nice, unfortunately the old strike-anywhere matches have mostly been replaced for safety reasons from what I am gathering from my research looking for them. If you find a real strike-anywhere match as big as the UCO Titan Matches I used for this, let me know.

    Will these melt in normal summer heat?

    • @GrayBeardedGreenBeret
      @GrayBeardedGreenBeret  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Not unless you live somewhere that is melting candles. Paraffin melts between 115 and 154 degrees F.
