You went from a high end super heavy duty insulated garage door to a piece of garbage door made out of fiberglass. Lost every bit of insulation. That new fast door is garbage. Garage doors shouldn’t need to operate that fast. 12-15 seconds/cycle is Normal rate. Genie tried a fast operating motor years ago with the Excellerator model which was a tremendous failure. Liftmaster offers a faster speed setting on some of the 3/4hp models if speed is that big of a concern.
I'm not trying to wait 12 seconds every time I pull into my garage or want to leave. I want that door to open instantly. I'm sure you could engineer a heavy duty door to move just as fast it'd just require a larger motor and would me more expensive. It'd also need to be built to withstand the impact of the door if the motor malfunctions without collapsing. It all depends on your budget but almost anything is possible in engineering
@@mhxxd4 I’ve been in the garage door business since 2009, and owned a garage door business since 2014. The issue is the springs aren’t designed to handle that fast motion, as well as the modern steel they build the doors with being paper thin and would buckle and damage your sections. You would need to completely rethink the torsion spring design. It would have to be counter balanced which is an early design of garage door that have been replaced due to not being compatible with any door opener. Modern door openers have pretty good range on the remotes tho, so really you shouldn’t have to wait. If you press the opener as your passing your neighbors home or pulling into your driveway the door will be up by the time your ready to pull in, most of them even have Wi-Fi connectivity so you could open your door remotely when you were a minute or two away if your in that big of a hurry. Modern problems are just crazy to me. When I was a child, I was the garage door opener. My parents would have me jump out and let the door up. The point I was making is this building went from having a high end insulated garage door to having a high speed piece of trash. It’s like trading in your gold watch for a silver one.
Notice how the faster door only ever has one side on camera. I suspect it’s human-operated. Also, the description mentions stop valve replacement. This is a bot.
I have a manual SOH garage door (like the first one) that is wonderfully balanced on the spring such that I can fling it open, probably faster than the fast door shown. We could have a showdown! PS I don't need the complexity and reliability issues of an electric door opening. KISS applies here.
Turbo Flexs garage door be like
Puts supercharger on the regular then it explodes lol 😂😂
yall should see how fast fire doors close
Cool
Quicker to open. Quicker to steal. (Me in the room): " Is that my grage door opening? -..Oh "Sh*t. My car is gone."
That's still kinda Slow compared to the two i just saw .
I am thank full for what I have it is a reguler speed that is better.
Put this on your house cause you’re too irresponsible to leave on time
Pneumatic vs electric motor( first door )
Not pneumatic
Thats not it, just more powerful electric motor and better controlled
Get the hell out!!!!!!
