Ahhh Matt, my favourite episode to date! I just loved the passion, the simplicity, and the birdroom. This is so special, we get to visit the real masters of the hobby whilst sitting in our living rooms... THANKYOU!!!
This is one of the best episode yet!!!very very useful tips as well, and my notebook is filling up nicely with all the useful advices, thank you Mr Matt Eld,thumbs up!!!
Brilliant, fascinating and enjoyable. This is most entertaining. The keep it simple approach dispels the myths built up about using lots of additives and supplements, well said.
Was a good one to watch I did have the chance to meet Terry ones think it was back in 2009 when I was showing as a junior and Shropshire and Salop and he signed a paper for me I won best junior that day
I don't normally comment on things. Sorry but I have to say this episode was my favourite to date. As Terry have the same views on the modern shows as I have. In saying that I do enjoy watching your TH-cam videos.
Wow, lots to pick up in this episode. "A bird that's going to rear will rear on emp, broccoli, emp. If it doesn't, I don't want to know." Good advice. I've found delicate parents breed delicate youngsters, which grow up to be delicate parents!!!! Thanks to Terry Kelly for his time and his wisdom.
Great episode, as usual, I'm new in canary keeping Mr. Terry Kelly mention he feed his bird A&B in the morning, Broccoli in lunchtime, and A&B in the evening. Excuse my ignorance of what A&B stands for, I'm just new to the hobby. Every episode I watch serves as a guideline for my hobby.
Brilliant watch guys an being from West Yorkshire a Wakefield man myself was even better. When terry was talking about Dewsbury there still there the goldfinches round the market an top carpark. Lovely to see when going to the market a cock bird sat there giving it what for 😃
The term refers to flight feathers so an unflighted bird is one bred the previous year, in its first moult the bird doesn’t lose any of its flight feathers (effectively tail etc) but it does as it gets older. So a bird hatched in 2022 would (for now) be classed as unflighted
Hello Matt I stumbled across your channel a while ago and was hooked straight away. I am just getting over a bad breakdown and depression and wondered what size shed would be best to start keeping a few birds in to help my recovery and what cages would be needed I am interested in British birds but at the minute funds are limited due to not being able to work. Just sitting and watching them would be a great tonic. Do you know any breeders in Warwickshire that would let me visit them and get advice thanks for your time all the best. Carl
Hi Carl, sorry to hear that, and best wishes for a good recovery. Get as big a shed as you can manage, that said the canary room is only 10x 8 but the cages are well planned . I’ll ask around to see if anyone’s in your neck of the woods
@@TheCanaryRoom Thanks for the reply Matt much appreciated. Looking forward to the next installment if you do not mind I may be asking your advice thanks. Carl
Hi Matt Carl again it may sound a stupid question but if I keep a few canaries do I have to breed them or just have cocks only or females only as I really just want the pleasure of keeping birds maybe later in time I may breed some your advice would be much appreciated thanks

hi my son is 12 and has started breeding canary's i breed Norwich 20 years ago, I am building him a bird room and aviary, the hobby has changed so much i remember going to the NEC for nationals. were is the best place to by fifes and what is the average cost for pairs these days
Hi Kevin, the Fife is a hugely popular variety and there are breeders all over the U.K.. The Fife canary council (you’ll find them on Facebook) have created a breeder catalogue that may help. Price is very much dependent on quality except to pay between £30 - £ 70 per bird although there are more and less expensive options too
Hi Matt can I ask a quick question did you insulate your bird room and what did you clad the inside with and do you heat it in the winter all the best. Carl
Hey, I am all the way from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I am 13 years old, I love your videos. I will start breeding Bengali/Society finches for some pocket money. I want to give them soak seeds to them 2-4 times a week. Is that enough and is this seed mix ok for finches? Also what seeds did you put in the soak seed mix and how much? Is there anything else I can or should add to it to make it better? Please reply.
Thanks Matt for your time one last question can I just keep cock canaries in separate cages for a start I do not want to breed any birds straight away thanks again for your time. Carl
Hi, I'm Marco Cerrato from Barcelona, Spain and I'm a breeder of Canaries Spanish Breed in green, I really like your videos but I have some problems translating into Spanish.
Hopefully in the next World Cup in Valencia 2022 I can buy some copies of Fife Francy. I have a brother who lives in London, maybe he can travel to England some day.
This is the video I was looking for. Terry's garden is amazing and its very inspiring as well as informative.

I wish I could put Fife Francy in yellow in my aviary. I really liked the interview with Terry Kelly.
Hopefully in the next World Cup in Valencia 2022 I can buy some copies of Fife Francy. I have a brother who lives in London, maybe he can travel to England some day.
I’ve tried Spanish subtitles but they’re automatically translated
Thanks partner for answering. Could you recommend a Fife Francy breeder to buy high quality canaries in yellow, please thank you.
Very interesting. Now I feel like an idiot for spending money on supplements and stuff.
Can you activate the Arabic translation ?
Will do my best!
Try now, should be on
Yes now it works but I have a question for you will it work on all videos ?
I will set some time aside and do the rest of them on season 4 👍
