You'll be back in no time, mate! You shouldn't have any issues seeing one now. SCT is using six of them, including 4 new ones for the minute to help out. See you back here soon.
So many of the Australian cities are named after cities in England, like Clapham; same situation here in the states. Very nice train video at Mt. Lofty. 😎
Yes, heaps! We do have our own unique names too like Wagga Wagga. Glad you enjoyed the Mount Lofty shot! My personal favorite from this one was at Tailem Bend with the EL's! Thanks for watching.
What is causing that high-pitched squealing sound it's like wheels are being dragged on the rail. Was that the engine? flange squeal here and there is expected but the steady squeal is hard on hears.
Yeah, it's flange squeal. Very common at that first spot at Mount Lofty as it's one of the tightest curves on the line through the Adelaide Hills. I believe, it's under 200 metre radius which is pretty much unheard of elsewhere. If you're taking about just when the locomotives are going past, that just the Chinese built CSRs trying to help the Aussie built locomotive at the front but being completely useless..
@@MS_Trains Ah, okay. Thank you for the detailed info. I asked about the loco because as the lead loco passed by, the high-pitched flange squeal lessened.
