Honestly your best bet it to buy a pc because PC platform is more open and you have a lot more open source software including emulators to work with, you won't be tied down and waiting on companies to see whether the game you want will come to your platform or not. With how big gaming companies like MS, PS and Nintendo you are better off keeping and preserving those games
