So enjoyed watching and trying to do this sea scape. You are a marvellous artist and I love you teaching
style so much I actually painted along with you. My painting skill has a long way to go but watching you
will help me immensely . I am self taught and usually do florals so I have stepped out of my comfort zone
and I rather like it. Looking forward to your next session thanks again.

I love the finished painting - it’s just beautiful!! You make it look sooo easy and I’m sorely tempted to give it a go, at the very least I’ll download the photo from your website if that’s possible. I hear you about slow internet connection - I have to ask, have you tried uploading late at night when internet traffic might be less? Please don’t apologise about lighting conditions in your studio or anything else for that matter - you are giving us such a wonderful gift and I can only be grateful that you go to the trouble to share your knowledge with us. Please, please can we have a tour of your studio - it looks like such a gorgeous BIG space and something I can only ever dream about as my home is a unit in the middle of Brisbane city...

Gorgeous painting. I've been watercolor painting off and on for just over a year now. I think I've finally learned that watercolor is all about layers. The first layer looks like "what the heck is she doing?" but then you work in the details slowly, layer by layer, and end up with something amazing. I've subbed and look forward to seeing more from you.

Hi Shirley thanks so much for your amazing demo I’ve already done one of your paintings and it was so much fun. In your video gems on the beach I was just wondering if you could tell me what size mop paintbrush you’re using at the start of your painting. Just so I can get the exact brush that you’ve got. It looks so yummy. Have a lovely day thanks again Shirley 🖌🎨🖼

@@shirleypeters the hot pressed is great for things like portraits or super glossy still life. Cold-pressed is a general use paper that can be used for pretty much everything because it's mid-range texture. And rough is great for landscapes and sea/ocean scenes in particular. Things that have a lot of texture. 140 pound is nice. 300 pound is really stiff and a little more absorbent. Anyway, just so you know :)
