Light, wintry precipitation will be possible through the early afternoon, especially across the eastern tier of the state. This is all associated with a cold front moving through the state which will bring gradually falling temperatures.
Many spots have already achieved what will be their "warm" temperature of the day near 40 degrees in the early morning hours. Colder air getting ushered in from the northwest will take temperatures back near freezing through the afternoon and eventually into the upper 20s tonight.
Temperatures will hold steady in the 20s overnight through daybreak Sunday with clouds overhead. The "warmest" part of the day will again be in the morning on Sunday, with temperatures falling into the teens in the afternoon and eventually into the single digits around sunset. With lingering clouds, we could see some light snow showers develop with the colder air settling in. Widespread accumulating snow is not expected but this could create a fresh layer of slickness to roads.
