Thank you for reacting to this hidden, underrated treasure. That early-70s ubiquitous guitar sound is just one of many things I dearly miss in modern music.
Once again JM boy is the man with a great reaction to a great song! JM Boy, keep going back in time… that’s where the music that has stood the test of time is at!
WOW I remember this song being a little kid in the backseat of my parents car( about 6 years old) singing along having no clue what the song was about. However great music leaves a lasting memory
First seen them in Springfield Missouri in the mid 70s. Just after we purchased the ranch in the Ozarks. They're on their final tour with ZZ Top. Hopefully will still see them from time to time if not in Springfield in Branson. They are a local favorite. The Ozarks has big lakes, rivers and some of the largest Springs in the world. The Beatles vacationed at the Pigman Ranch in the Ozarks near Thomasville in 1964. About 35 mi from our Ranch. 🤠🐂
This is one of my favourite bands. Even though they are American they recorded their first song in London, hence playing at the Old Grey Whistle Club. It is a bit sinister, Lee (drummer) wrote this about a barmaid and a d dealer that he ‘only saw at night’. If You want to get to Heaven and Chicken Train are great songs too. Great song and great reaction 😊
This was just a smooth rocker. It does a great job of describing people a lot of us have known, just never satisfied always wanting more. I've dated a couple of women like this. Great reaction my friend.
Big radio hit. Drummer doing Lead Vocals is always cool. Occasionally Ringo Starr, most notably Don Henley - Eagles. This singer has a nice higher range and softness to his tones. Sweet sounding Slide Guitar and keyboards. Nice Choice.
Uh, Jackie, is just jaded because she's been there already and done that. Your deep insights definitely added the nuance missing in my simplistic projection. It's a dreamy song. Jackie, is dreamy. Maybe she dreams of regaining her innocence, which goes back to what you were saying about her fear of commitment she adapted from an earlier time. Thanks for this one. Always been my delmar favorite.
This song still sends chills through me because of the memories involved. All their songs are special but this one has that special vibes one can't forget
OUTLAWS - "" Ghost Riders In The Sky "" 1970's Southern Rock/ Hard Rock Classic Jams 🎸🎶 this song is the Rockin' Vocal Version released during the Mid 70's w/ a blend of Electric Guitar and Acoustic Guitar Bass & Drums that absolutely Rocks from start to finish + the Vocals and Background Vocals are Spectacular too.
TONE LOC - "" Wild Thing (Official Music Video) "" Old School Hip-Hop / Rock and Funk 🎸 1980's Classics // Another 90's artist that Infuses JAZZ & HIP-HOP/ FUNK... 🔊 US3 - "" Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) "" VIDEO VEVO // 🎹 Also this song by US3 - "" Tukka Yoots Riddim "" VIDEO these 2 Songs are super Cool, the JAZZY & FUNKY COOL HIP-HOP with an AMAZING Early 1990s Sound + the Vocals are so catchy and creative. I highly recommend all 3 songs by both Artists. 🎺
How many of you noticed at 1:20 the difference between the words we HEAR sung and what we SEE (reading the singer's lips) for two lines of the song? The reason behind this is because in the live version we see here, the singer accidentally sang the lines from the last verse at the start ("Makes you think that her life is a drag- ooh Jackie what fun you have had") so his lips are saying that while the music we HEAR (from the studio record) is the proper lines "Hides that smile while she's wearing a frown-- ooh Jackie you're not so down". This was overlapped together so if you notice carefully, that would explain it.
Man this is an oldie but goodie ! I was about 12 maybe 13 when this came out , Instantly became one of my favorite songs , Still is to this very day , Thank you for playing It ! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving !

One of the grooviest anthems of the '70s. Such a vibe. 🤎
I bought this on a 45rpm and felt it was about me, not in reality but how I felt. Absolutely love it.
Old Grey Whistle Test had the best live performances in the 70s.
And Midnight Special.
Once again JM boy is the man with a great reaction to a great song! JM Boy, keep going back in time… that’s where the music that has stood the test of time is at!
"If you want to get to heaven" is a great tune also!!!
I remember this song. I had no recollection of the group. Hopefully the comments help me out. I’m 62 but I don’t recall everything 🤣🤣

Great reaction my friend.
Listening to the radio I always thought this was a girl singer and Shocking Blue - Venus was a male singer.
Love this essential 70's song 🤟
Good Analysis Bro!!! I Agree!!!
Great reaction. Now you need to do. If You Whanna Get To Heaven You’ve Gotta Raise A Little Hell
Spot on analysis J.
Brilliant slide sound.

Gotta admit, when I heard this on the radio, I always thought it was a female singer

Or just did't grow up.
I cant figure why but those choruses sound SO 70s, just beautiful!!
Just not so much a fan of the guitar solo.
