I like to potentially waist one credit to check if you can drop the claw over or at least partially over the prize chute. If it lets you, then it's a prime candidate to use the swing technique for claws like the one with the miniature soccer balls. If you can drop it at least half-way over the prize shoot, then use swing technique to swing the claw back into the playfield and hug the edge of the prize chute. When it picks up the ball (even if only part of the way), then it may swing the ball and drop it into the prize chute even when off-payout.

I agree, but these claws are not loose enough to utilize the swing technique.
