No. arabic gum is best option. You can get from naattu marunthu shop ( traditional medicine shop) / online.

I didn't mix zinc powder so I don't know.. Arabic gum+chalk powder mix is no limits for date... If you put in air tight container it will be in good condition... But inbetween you need to mix and maintain water consistency...
