    You said it perfectly! Thank you for boldly pointing out the fact that one perspective is considered “ right “ and the other side that this lifestyle meanwhile another view that is widely considered “ wrong “
    Is not allowed to be stated without judgment. what o
    Is wrong is made to look right and what os right is made to look wrong !

      Thanks for your comment and for watching. It's hard to say this publicly because they paint you as a bigot, which I am not.

      Hi! I'm glad it was helpful. However, every teacher experience will look a little different based on the district, state, etc.

    Thanks for your thoughtful and comprehensive analysis of Education generally in the US. I am a teacher in Jamaica and the very opposite for the most part exists. Work ethic, discipline, Godly dictates, student responsibility are encouraged and practiced. The point on administration being more connected to classroom realities and teachers issues is one that exists here too. Wish you success in whatever you do. I have done over 20 years already,almost another 20 to go.

      This is so interesting to me. Thanks for sharing! Are teachers fairly paid in Jamaica? What helps you stay in the classroom?

      @@Yelbasse fairly paid no but not badly paid either. We had a reclassification some years ago so we are on par with some private sector workers. My staying is more what else can I do? I have only been a teacher. Switching careers here is not that seamless

    Me alegra mucho que pienses de esa manera y que hayas dejado un trabajo que te pagaba muy bien por tus valores. Eres un ejemplo a seguir. Que todo te vaya muy bien. Cuentanos, como va lo de tu emprendimiento.

    If you already knew you only wanted to adhere to Christian “values”, why didn’t you teach at a private Christian school?

      That's an interesting question. Would you agree that everyone is entitled to have their own religious beliefs in the U.S.? Would you also agree that every religion should be respected and not silenced?
      I wonder if you would ask the same question to a Muslim about their faith.

      This type of rhetoric causes division. Think about the cause of this division and I hope you come to a reasonable answer.

      Hey James, thanks for watching. It wasn't out of the ordinary but of course there were behavioral problems. I don't have any extreme cases though. Are you thinking of becoming a teacher?

    So glad you left, you wouldn’t be a safe place for students to confide in. Students should be allowed to speak on their preferences and as a teacher you should respect it and ignore it, instead you judged them.

    • @Yelbasse
      @Yelbasse  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree that we are to respect students' preferences. However, I do not think it is ok coercing educators to promote and teach things that one doesn't agree with. I'm sure you would leave a workplace if they were coercing you to believe or do something that you are not ok with.
      You may not understand (and that's ok), but trust me, I am not the only educator who thinks this way. We are too often silenced.
