Great video! Craftsman 917.276240 riding mower. Gas tank has 2 cracks. New one is not available. I repaired the cracks. The fuel line is on the bottom. I have the new stem tank fuel irem 3645J and the new bushing 139277. Any advice to putting these new parts on? I see The video putting the bushing on the zero turn but not from the bottom area. Thx
They install the exact same way. Push the rubber bushing in making sure it's seated correctly and just push the fitting in. When u do it you will actually say out loud. That was easier than I expected lol.. you will do fine I promise.. they all install the same
great video: i fixed the fuel tank leak with ease, now i have a? KOHLER 23HP COMMAND. I cannot get air / fuel adjustment right. When engine sounds running good both on idle and full throttle after adjustment of air/fuel i start mowing, after a while engine sounds as though it is starving for fuel, I have tried everything i know plus recommendations from other people. Any suggestions. Thanks
Couple things... just thoughts. Fuel line could be partially clogged or collapsing . Is tank venting properly so not to create vacuum.. did u put new fuel filter on that won't let fuel flow . Or is old filter clogged. Is there an internal carb jet that needs to be ported or drilled out slightly. When it comes to fuel delivery you start at the tank.. test everything and work down thru carb

The one you referred to as the "straw". Can you tell me the part number for the pickup line that goes inside the fuel tank? Or possibly where I can get one? Thank you in advance.

It can be put in 2 ways. A runner grommet or it could have been put in with sealant.. if u use a razor knife around the base it should come free.. be careful not to cut the pickup tube. I'm glad my video started you on the right track to repair your zero.. let me know how it goes
Honestly there's only a few ways to get a new one and they are unbelievably expensive.. u can look on ebay.. or Original manufacturer website.. or see if u have a junk yard for mowers in your area .. if at all u can fix the one u have with epoxy you will save hundreds.. u can also look on Craig's or offer up for someone selling a broken machine that still has a good tank

Good fix! Different fluids have different densities. Water is approx 8.3 lbs, and gas is about 6 lbs.

Unfortunately with lawnmowers even though u can fix it in a 30 min video.. a lot of times it's 8 hours of trial and error and retry
