So, they write about how the lore we know is wrong, because that is what deconstruction is about.

How batman does not do justice.

And how the jedi was evil and the sith was just misunderstood.
And, while this can create some interesting stories, but it always ruin the ip.
Any fan, will be told they are wrong and they will leave the ip.

I still refuse to call it such. lucas canon still has the larger body of work. it STILL has the more coherent story despite being cobbled together over 40 years by multiple authors, because it had people who understood star wars and understood storytelling and understood the underlying philosophy. people like timothy zahn and sam whitwer, and anything the new canon does only ever works because it recanonizes something from the EU.

I am pretty knowledgeable, about Star Wars lore. My mom got me into it, 30 years ago. Imagine that, a black woman, raised in Louisiana and Texas, loved Star Wars, among other escapist fiction. Go figure. That said, Acolyte is terrible, and flies in the face, of everything I've loved about the series. And it's calculated. They WANT to upset the fans. They WANT to rip away Star Wars' identity. This is Batwoman and Gotham Knights, all over again. A definite effort, to chase off anyone who loved the property.
Some have asked why it's insulting. Problems include, but not limited to:
-Turning the Jedi into villains
-Inserting present day nonsense, into the show (the whole reason a lot of us watch shows or movies, read comics, play games, etc, is it's our reward, for dealing with reality, all day or night, to escape to another world)
-Nonsensical writing, characters just shifting motivations and goals, on a dime
-Retcons that no one needed or wanted, to established lore
-A focus on sticking it to the fans (which never works)
-Cringy faux deep dialogue
-Dragging out easy conversations
-Long periods where absolutely nothing happens, boring the audience, to tears

I said after episode 3 that there was zero chance that the story would be anywhere close to being coherent after that. They're basically on destroy the lore and propaganda full throttle now. Storytelling is not a concept for them.
Well whether you call it stupid or not, if anyone including the channels reviewing this show watches it. This cycle will continue lol, if everyone would stop watching, then this crap would be over, if half the comments stating they in fact are watching crap tv, then know. Your not part of the solution, your the problem lol. Doesn't matter if you give bad reviews these shows will continue since you are paying for them to do so. The funny part is you say this, as usual, which your type ignore for some bizarre reason, as the Neilson numbers just came out, who tends to boost Disney's numbers, showing that nobody is actually watching this garbage show. They can't even massage the bad numbers. The drop-off long started before this episode.
Nothing supports what you are saying that this is helping Disney in any way. They are also losing incredible amounts of money to make these shows when the accounting comes out, which means nobody is paying for it. Not even their physical products(which includes toys and comics) sell, nor does anyone go to their theme parks for this specific product. Heck, the comic books for where Acolyte comes from did not sell at all. They're losing so much money that many believe they're engaged in overt money laundering.
You can't have it both ways where you say this is keeping them going, while simultaneously watching them fail in all categories that denote the success you claim they have because people on the internet cover their shows. You have nothing to back up this internet talking point.
Lastly, I'm an EU legacy fan. I know of no serious EU legacy fan that watches or pays for anything Disney SW. They've long moved on and were shown the door by Disney. I, personally, was gone since the first sequel movie. I don't even invest time watching Disney SW. I enjoy the roasts of it at this point. Nobody who watches the roasting of these shows pays for this stuff. If they did, the bad reviews would be ten times the amount and the scores would be even lower than they already are. The audience that Disney courts is not a paying or viewing base. So how are they being kept alive, according to you?! TH-cam and Twitter views for their trailers doesn't translate to anything for them.
Disney SW, by the way, has never turned a profit since being bought. Maybe you think the next two projects Disney claims are coming out will get them over the hump because TH-camrs covered them?!

I just saw the episode and haven't really been able to process it yet, but my initial takeaway is that the way they portrayed the Jedi was so wrong. They're all hyper-emotional and eager to make rash and dangerous decisions, and they're also liars by the end. I feel like everything that happened in that episode would have been easily avoided if the Jedi just behaved like Jedi.
Except these people have no idea how to write or portray characters with noble or heroic attributes; everything they produce is 💩, because, well...write what you know. 🤷♂️

I like "Barbarella Queen of the Galaxy, a movie about a space nympho!" I like "The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom" a movie about an uptight Brassiere manufacturer. I like The Great Catherine a stupid movie about a British Soldier and a wacky Russian Czarina. I like the Trouble With Angels a movie about two girls antics at a Catholic High School. These 4 movies are generally considered ripe stinkers. I STILL LOVE THEM for my own reasons. The entire Acolyte series is stupid. The episodes don't even tell a consistent story. The Acolyte is criminally boring. Every episode of The Acolyte is filled to the brim with DEAD AIR. When I worked in radio we learned there's nothing worst than "Dead Air" like that which fills "The Acolyte" to the brim!
I saw a guy who said that he only needs new lightsabers and ships and it needs to be Star Wars IP for him to be satisfied about the product. One other said that he is ride-or-die Star Wars fan. So I think the combination of guys like that + hate watchers + some random normies that want to see whats up + ESG money is what keeps the brand afloat.
