Thank you enjoyed all the options since I’ve gone from traditional to modern and have kept my few precious pieces. Blending is good. Liked your video. For those of you who didn’t try and not comment.
I've decorated my home in Orkcore. The look is dominated by red, grey, and brown. Brown leather and brown wood. Grey concrete, grey iron, occasionally grey stained wood(I've found that Aged Barrel Mw283 is the best shade of wood stain for this). Red leather, sedona red stained wood, a bit of red trim, red painted roof. Dark ages war/hunting weapons as decorations. Hide rugs. Raw materials and recycled materials. Exposed industrial elements such as large bolts where practical. Pointiness added everywhere it can be done safely, such as pyramid tacks & pointy plants.
I am owner builder of small cottage as I write . Going back to copper mixed w brushed brass .. with touches of Matt black. Moving to a lighter Mediterranean feel . For those of you who have been following cheap farm house trends with Home Goods and Hobby Lobby decor It needs to go. The trend I find beautiful is called Quiet Luxury... and has been around for a while.
I like the resurgence of copper. It will bring warmth that silver tones cannot. However, It's a big expense to change out all metal finishes to copper - especially plumbing fixtures, and copper won't work combined with silver tones. Not necessarily a good way to go for something that will probably trend out.
Copper & metal are beautiful together...have u ever seen metal drape rods with copper finale's?? A beautiful elegant, different look.your eyes go right to it...or a cooper and metal fireplace screen??? Yes,both cooper/silver mix can and does work very well together...try it... you'll like it.
Impressive video, Penny Modern. Eager to see your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights on the wabisabi and japandi styles were particularly enlightening. How do you think these trends will influence the overall market for handmade decor in the coming years?
@pennymodern I only put pops of color in inexpensive items, like pillows & throws. Maybe a vase. Another way to bring in color inexpensively is with a fruit bowl.
Some of these trends are "mega-trends" that span a few years. I'm just reporting what the experts are saying we will see more of next year. Thanks for your comment!
Not my style, too much white and beige. Not a fan of brown except for wood furniture .There are lots of lovely colours in the world, just look at nature- leaves, berries and flowers
Bah! Who appointed designers to dictate what is in or out? Most design trends listed here are awful. Take the first one listed here, which looks like someone went dumpster diving to decorate their house. I decorate my house any way I please and to hell with trends.

That sounds amazing! I love the Mediterranean style!
Ty. Work in progress and old traditional. Hopefully it shall pull together from years of changing some and holding on the most cherished pieces.
I have my own eclectic style mix from old and modern😊
Me too.
Very cool!
with airpods on can only hear your voice out of one ear during most of this video. When ads came on it worked on both. fyi
The less advice You follow, the better Your decoration will be😊
I agree...
Thanks for sharing great insights! 👍
Thanks for the kind words!
Love a lot of this but not the copper metals, or the dark saturated colors on walls, for me they are depressing.
It's good to know what you like, you can always adapt the trends to your own taste!

I'm looking forward to a copper sink. In trend or not.
Definitely!! Are you getting one of the copper apron front sinks?

@LindaPernice-gz8mt My curtain rods & fireplace screen are already in place, & look great. No way I'm changing them out for this trend.
I foresee way more minimalism, seems younger generation hates clutter….i agree.
Yes, definitely agree!
Several of these trends has been going on for years
Agree! We will continue to see some of these trends as they are mega-trends that have been around for a little while, but they are growing.

Most colors will trend out. Stick with neutrals.
Good advice, neutrals won’t go out of style!

Voice audio on this is not stereo
Yes thank you for telling me I am fixing it on future videos. Thank you for the feedback!
Wabi Sabi and japandi? Clearly the title of this is wrong and I’ve jumped in a time machine bound for 2019 🤔 there’s nothing new here.

I wouldn’t like to add any of these pieces or designs
It's totally fine to go with your own style!
I find these new designs colourless and dull, I couldn’t live in these rooms.
Not my style, too much white and beige. Not a fan of brown except for wood furniture .There are lots of lovely colours in the world, just look at nature- leaves, berries and flowers
Thanks modern farm house bye bye.
Are we happy or sad about that?

awful, no colour, no art
