    I was introduced to GH just a couple of months ago and fell in love with the Angus character and Thomas's voice. I followed him to Angus McSix and while I still enjoy GH, I actually like every song on the McSix album but I really only like a handful of GH's songs. I'm so glad he kept up the Angus character and showed the change in the lyrics

    Seeb seems like a complete gent - very generous and down to earth.
    I’m fairly new to the genre so I don’t know much of his music but I’m looking forward to exploring his work.

      Him and Orden Ogan has made quite a few solid albums with plenty of bangers. The fact that he does so much suggests a lot of talent too.
      Not only is he the vocalist in Orden Ogan, he also plays rythm guitar, write the songs, mixes and produces everything.

    Listened to the record, textbook power metal, and I really enjoyed it.
    This is still the most ridiculous separation story I have ever seen.
    This is like if Tom Holland got in some legal trouble and was booted from the role of Spider-Man, only for Sony to cast him as Arachnid-Man the next year.

    I have a conviction that Seeb gives a great contribution to improve the sound. He created animal riffs in Orden Ogan and I agree he made the same things in Angus Mcsix's band.

    I was curious how the connection between Thomas and Seeb came about for this band. It's actually funny to me that Seeb was the one who approached Thomas and not the other way around. That pretty much in itself instantly hamstrings all the saltiness that came out of the Gloryhammer fanboys about McSix even existing at all.

    Really nice to see the happy energy here, I was one of the people who saw "Masters of the Universe" as something of a break-up song, but seeing its really mostly a reference/tongue-in-cheek nod to GH is nice. If theres one thing about Angus McSix that did disappoint me, its that the vocals get drowned out so much. The best GH songs, in my opinion, are the ones where you can hear an make out everything. Thats important when there is a story being told, ie it's a ballad, in the song, and if AM6 is trying to do something similar (there be a story in their albums) it seems its getting drowned out too much. Maybe just readjust the levels some?

    I'm just gonna say it. When I deciphered the code, it seems like the second song after Visions in the Fire is Sixcalibur, then Eternal Warrior. Was Seeb misleading us, or am I missing something?

    I must say that I was shocked by this sentence because I really hoped that the singles were the ones that are one of the slowest Songs on the album and that there would be really fast and typical Power Metal Songs. But lets hope for the best. Despite this the 2 singles were great with real epicness. So I am really excited about this Album.

    • @ThaBeatConductor
      @ThaBeatConductor ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm actually pretty down for some 80's synth pop mixed with modern standard metal ideas. 80's pop is best pop.

    • @Kp-qz4vx
      @Kp-qz4vx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThaBeatConductor I mean it's all about opinion but I was hoping for some Epic Power Metal like Legends Of Valley Doom (don't know if you know them) or something similar to Gloryhammer. I must say that I love symphonic power metal and a lot of synth and Pop isn't my cup of tea. But if it's epic, it could be a really giod album.
      Because you like this idea of Pop and synth: What are your favourite Bands and sub genres?

    • @ThaBeatConductor
      @ThaBeatConductor ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Kp-qz4vx Only thing I can think of that hits the 80's feel while still being modern is The Premonition album from Firewind. It's like if Boston, Kansas, and Journey had a power metal baby. It's not very synth heavy though, more just stylistically.
      Otherwise I've not really heard anything that goes so heavy into the synths.
      I usually listen to more progressive and heavy stuff so I don't follow most power metal, but I've followed Orden Ogan and GloryHammer for a bit. While I am slightly disappointed it's not going to be very "metal", there are also plenty of bands that do that just fine. We don't really need more of the same.

      @lintonthepenguin ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ThaBeatConductor Anton Kabanen is probably the songwriter who pioneered the sound of 80s pop-infused metal, first with Battle Beast and then in Beast in Black. I'd recommend checking out songs like From Hell with Love (Beast in Black) if you want a taste of what that style can sound like.
