With due respect sir, the order of a permutation is the LCM of the orders (length) of disjoint cycles.
If R=( 1→5 2→4 3→5 4→2 5→3 6→9 7→8 8→6 9→7) Then clearly R is the product of three disjoint cycles i.e R=(1 3 5)(2 4) (6 9 7 8)
Order of R=LCM Of (A)(B)(C)
R=LCM of (1 3 5)(2 4) (6 9 7 8)=3×2×4=24
Where A=(1 3 5); B=(2 4) ; C=(6 9 7 8)
So order of R= 24
