I am a high school student in Evesham. As I walk to school, I talk about Eveshams history on my 30 minute walk. I tried to get my peers interested in the history, but they are bored after 5 minutes, which I find upsetting.

Don't be disheartened. The good thing is you enjoy it. And don't ever lose that curiosity. It will serve you well.

What a fantastic and informative history lesson about a part of Evesham that I love to visit.
The town is a wonderful place that I love spending time around especially around by the River Avon with walk along to the Hampton Ferry and also this part around by the Abbey that I find has a great spiritual and mystical air about it especially when it is quiet or in the evenings.

Evesham is a lovely town I visited it some years ago with my mother and her sister's son who lost her mother due to cancer a week before and we came across from Belgium for the cremation and spent a couple of weeks with him after the cremation, In A village called Bardsey not far from Evesham where he lived and we visited Evesham several times with my cousin and went inside one of the lovely churches not far from the bell tower to offer a prayer and sit in peace.. I Like Evesham very much it is a lovely town

I first learned about Evesham in reading Sharon Kay Penman's Welsh Trilogy. Thank you so much for this informative, well produced documentary, including paintings of what the original Abbey probably looked like. Is Evesham in the Cotswolds?
Also, I didn't know a skull is in the Evesham Museum and Heritage Center that may be that of Simon de Montfort. Does he have living descendants and has DNA testing been suggested?

Very interesting and informative about the Abbey, which is so well known abouts its being but much less well known about its detail.
