What if they go zu and palace guards... i lost.. went javelin, musodfi to counter place guards... and mangos. With a few sofas to meat shield zuganu for musodofi and whilr trying to shift clicj his zuganu down with javalins my musodofi died too fast and palace guards ate javalins
what do you think of Onna's in fuedal for Zhu Xi? I have had success with all my blacksmith upgrades and massed onnas with maybe a few horseman thrown in too, or samurai even just to soak up some damage (I dont expect them to catch the xbows) I think Faye did it successfully a few times too. I've preferred it because when they add spears its much harder.
@@Spanishflea. no because they're fast. There was a case where Fay used them very well vs Zhu Xi, as I mentioned. If you back them up with some archers or horseman its even less of an issue
Wait wait. In guide how to play against cav factions you said to wall, secure base firstly and move with rams. So he just made that excatly. But he made it not that fast. You just leage above. But on equal level it should work

@@Katakon674 I just looked at the Wiki and apparently I misunderstood: I thought they had a bonus against armour because they have a crossbow, but that's just aesthetic; they're more of an alternate archer! Ya learn something new every day!
It seems to be like 30% of my games are against civs that have that early game HARD counter matchup vs Abba. And its not impossible, but you have very very little wiggle room with villager, counter army, and resource management. But yeah when ya say hope for the best its no lie... as the game has evolved its gotten more challenging in the early game as Abba. But when ya are cookin and flowing intuitively with your counter aggro into the rubberband effect into castle then ya pull up with rams and compo bows.. my oh my do i feel like George Washington musta felt when he won the American Revolution.... i just walk around with a stoic majestic look on my face for the remainder of the day😅

Aren't horsemen a better bang for your buck against anti-heavy armour units?
