Thanks for the info. I'm marking the Sox ballpark off my list this summer. Big KUDOS for including travel info and the tip about the 1 day CTA cards. Also about the limited access of the ballpark. I'll definitely hit the showers. And hope for a Sox home run.
I am glad you had a great time, and happy birthday. But you have to be a Sox fan to love this stadium. The seats face the southwest, which is Chicago Industry. If they had flipped the stadium around the other way, they could have an outstanding view of the Chicago skyline. Instead we get the hugh advertising billboards to block the view. I feel like I am sitting in a cardboard box.
I had only been to one game before, and I can’t remember if it was before or after they made the new stadium. I’ve been a Cubs fan as long as I can remember, and I’ve been to Wrigley field more times than I’ll ever be able to count. So as someone who has never liked the White Sox, nor I did not have a favorable opinion of guaranteed rate stadium. (I thought it was plain and ugly) I had very low expectations. I took the family recently to see the Tampa Bay rays, which is one of my favorite teams and I was extremely surprised at how nice the stadium was. Its food options were great and affordable, and I was genuinely impressed at how kind the people who work there were. It’s actually sad to me now, now that they want to replace this ballpark, it actually a great place. Btw It was sad when they wanted to replace old Comisky as well. Guaranteed rate field is a great place to watch a game. It’s too bad that White Sox fans don’t have much to cheer for this year at all being the worst team in baseball. Since my youngest son, who is 14 years old, has decided that the White Sox are going to be his team for life, I’m sure will be returning to see quite a few more games in the future. Thanks for your video. We enjoyed it. Look forward to more.
Thanks for watching and sharing your memories. That's why we started this channel...to connect with others and share experiences. Tampa Bay is on our list to visit for sure.
What a dedicated wife. Putting up with the humility of being seen in that nasty stadium and wearing such an embarrassing shirt in public. Normal people would instead go naked in public than be seen in such a shirt.😮 What dedication.

Glad we could make an informative video. I would recommend heading to the Northside anyway. Hehe.
Corn Dogs at 9:16. I want !
@joedyke3415 they were surprisingly tasty. It was a queso elote sauce.
I just stumbled on this video. I actually went to a White Sox game at Cominsky not to long ago this year and they played the Guardians as well! haha
Thanks for watching. Go Sox.

11:19. Trivia: Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer, the two who wrote "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", had never been to a Baseball game !
That IS a fun fact.

Yes we definitely agree on the lack of view. Its certainly not old Comiskey. Thanks for watching.
I was at the Chris Sale game jersey cutting game too! Go Sox!
We remember he was supposed to pitch that night and were shocked to find out what happened. Crazy!
👍

The Chicago Cubs were originally the Chicago White Stockings
The cubbies! Joyce's fave

It's all just a funny joke with us because I am a Cubs fan and he is a Sox fan. All in good fun.
Northside boystown 😂
I'm calling it The Cubs to win it ALL against the White Sox in the 2024 World Series.⚾
That would be an amazing match up. #dreambig
