Wet and Wild has a soft blur lip balm (in a pink and clear tube) that is just like the Violette. I have both and actually like the Wet and Wild better, especially for the price!

@amycorley1658 Your welcome! Me too. I dont know if they took the scent out of the cream blush or if the Balm is unscented. I just looked. Couldn't find any info on it. Her products are so lovely most definitely, it's too bad my blushes are in drawers unused . I didn't know the cream blush had any scent until I got it in May of this year. It was a strong Rose to me and it would bother you for sure ( they added in a tiny amount for a sensory experience was the response to me ). I checked reviews and others noted strong scent. I can't find those reviews today except for one. Hoping there's unscented versions now to choose as they are very nice products.
Your lips are very pretty and totally suit your face. Just because the trend is to have super full pouty lips doesn't mean that yours are "small". I love sheer lipsticks too. You definitely don't need to draw attention away from your mouth.
Cream in your coffee is one of my favorite lipsticks for years! I don't hear many people speak about this color. I thought it looked good on you.

The cream in your coffee looked great after you blottted it a tiny bit. I feel the same way about my small lips. Yesterday, I put lipstick on and thought it looked good, but when i got to the store and looked at them in my car mirror, I had to blot them. Then they looked good. I agree with another commenter. Your lips don't look small. I think you're used to seeing big lips on a lot of youtubers😉

Thanks for this ma'am. Small lips are also beautiful and kissable (I know bc I like kissing em lol). But sometimes we want some color, too. And a lot of colors are pretty unforgiving when your lip line is wishy -washy.

Vaseline lip therapy rosy lips is my current holy grail. I dichted all my lipsticks because of it.

And the thing is your lips are not even small. They're just normal. The only problem here is that we got used to these crazy blown lips so much that we can't take average-looking ones anymore. Because everybody around you are talking about it, media, beauty industry, celebrities, they all are trying to convince us we are wrong the way we are. That's insane. You're gorgeous. Your lips are perfectly fine.
You can always have a sheer, blurred finish when you apply lipstick with a finger :) Ring finger works best.

Glossier Gen G Lipstick & Nars Sheer Matte Lip Balm. They do very similar things. I have yet to pick up the Violette lip balm but I love sheer matte formulas.. also I always pay lipsticks on if I want to wear them for similar reasons. It sheers the formula out a little.

I have Betise & Amour Fou. I like the ease of use & the finish it gives. I do think you can create a very similar affect with other matt lipsticks such as Lisa Eldridge's Velvets blotted & feathered out, but there is a certain. blur that the Violette FR provides.

Oh, I see the effect on you! I agree! I also have this and I love it as someone with a full mouth and full lips. I sometimes feel like full coverage bright pinks are too distracting on me, but I looove the pinks in this formula because they give a kiss of matte color that just looks like a cloud 🥹 So it works for people with juicy lips too, but for the opposite reason almost lol! ❤ They don't make my lips look fuller, they just make the color effect more subtle and cohesive

i think anyone and everyone is made for lipstick. love that mac one. but i do think you absolutely slay that blotted lip look with that violette lipstick. i don’t love the blotted look on myself as i have prominent lip lines and like to accentuate what i have. but you look gorgeous!
Very nice. I think the revlon colorstay bullet lipsticks will also work well. They are sheer matte too. They last all day long unless you have oily food. Specific Color choices will matter of course and that is personal preference. Let me know if you have tried those.

I think there is something to the matte popsicle shades because I always felt the slightly, not too blurred look made my lips look much bigger in a natural way, without lipliner.

I don't have thin lips, but I have a small mouth with "sharp" lips if that makes sense (unless I fully relax my face, my lips kind have a sharp border and go inwards in an angle). Full coverage lipsticks look so harsh on me (being really pale doesn't help either).
For anyone that can't afford the lipstick in the video, another way to achieve a similar effect is using a regular matte lipstick very lightly over your lips and blotting the hell out of it. Alternatively, you could use a brush to fluff it out.

The "Kylie effect" on lips is crazy, your lips are perfectly normal size and pretty. Why would someone think you've covered them with concealer? 🙁 Any Geisha would think your lips are big. I really like that lipstick though, so thank you for the recommendation 🙏😊💄💋

I totally get the matte/ sheer benefit. It’s very hard to find a sheer enough lipstick. I have bought a refy one waiting for it to come it claims to be also matte and sheer. We will see!

I just bought two of the Violette, but if you get a chance try Fenty gloss bomb, Two Lip Kiss, it does much the same thing to small lips! Thanks again for your help and advice, I look less like an old clown now ! Lol

Tiny lips here as well. I have a couple of elf balms that are pretty sheer, and have gotten compliments on when I wear them. Idk if they've made any matte balms, but maybe it would be impossible to make?

I like them. 🥰 Update: I'm not sure if they are discontinued, they're called Elf Lip Kiss Balm I looked on the site and other stores and only see them on eBay. Idk if their new formulas compare. The bullet packaging is white and resembles CoverGirl clean line tinted balm.

Hey! ❤ I have pretty small lips but I use the Douyin lip technique/contour thing and it’s made a world of difference, even more than stuff in this video. I used to stick to more natural colors bc I felt my lips weren’t a big enough canvas for others. But now I can even do a black glossy lip. I use lip liner or lip stick for what you have to draw on the base, then blend, put a gloss of any color I want to. Look up the technique on google I promise it’ll do wonders for you!🩵🩵🫶🫶

Refy Lip Blush and Saie Lip Blur are both great. Tocobo Powder Cream Lip Balm is my favorite for price and performance.

I have full lips but I have such wrinkly lips and can't find the right color for my light warm skin tone. Is there a way to choose lipstick that matches eyeshadow colors or do we always match lips to our skin tone color?

No taste, just the slightest scent . Vanilla I think. I am VERY scent sensitive and it doesn’t bother me.
Have you tried the glossier generation g sheer matte lipstick? I have the shades zip and malt. They might be what you’re looking for.
romand blur lip tint also works for this :) I personally hate normal lipstick too. lip tints and lip balms are the way to go
