The costal areas of Taiwan are packed with missiles for defense as soon as you get close to the coast Chinese are in trouble. I did not here of a big boult up of an amphibian invasion force? The coordination of such a big operation is very difficult. The Americans know. In Taiwan are living 24.5 million people on an island. makes it even more difficult. China also invaded Vietnam 1979. That was not a success (The 1979 Sino-Vietnamese War and Its Consequences). I do not see this war happening in short term. Chinese are not that experienced either.
exactly. Plus 99% of what the CCP chinese claim as "their navy" is a brown water navy, meaning excellent on rivers, not suited for open seas and then there is the fact that every dingy/ wooden barge is labelled under "CCP navy" as well ( seen some being claimed as "corvettes"). its all propaganda CCP is pushing and a lot are falling for it. Taiwan has had since 1950s time to prepare and prepare they did. On top of that US mil contractors and US mil itself are in Taiwan. Add to the fact that there are defense pacts signed with between 12-15 different asian countries...
China can bombard Taiwan with thousands of surface to surface missiles to reduce Taiwan's defences. Not to mention air to ground. Would it be worth it for China to have many countries boycott or tariff China's exports for years over Taiwan not to mention a possible Allied response of military action that would severely reduce China's Navy??
Almost all major conflicts that have been brewing for decades are happening now Russia vs Ukraine(NATO) China vs Taiwan(NATO) Israel(USA) vs Palestine(Iran) That just leaves India vs Pakistan and North Korea vs South Korea which will both likely kick back up soon too because why not at this stage

Argentina had been in the midst of devastating economic stagnation and large-scale civil unrest (similar to China’s current growing problems) and their solution was to invade the Falkland Islands deflecting the Argentine people’s attention away from the financial and economic problems, look how that turned out for the Military Junta. China is currently haemorrhaging money, and its people is starting to rebel against the leaders, Taiwan would only be a distraction from China’s woes and potential future collapse of the current Communist state and its Leaders. China heavily relies on the financial and economic trade from western Europe and America and if this stopped China as a country would collapse. India is currently stealing international businesses from China weakening their grip on global trade.
Make in India has been a flop so far. Indian media reporting for years now about Tesla announcing a Gigafactory in their country, any minute now.. but Musk publicly blew off prime minister Modi and went to China instead.
China wanted to be true communist but the square protests and following massacre forced them to agree to the demands in order to stop a full-out civil war. The point being the Chinese is communist everywhere except in business. Which has allowed them to not collapse yet.
Exactly. some of these "experts" act like "civilian vessels" are a secret weapon or something. on top of that, all the "civilian/private" boats they "confiscated" are brown water and are already counted in the CCP's "navy" numbers. CCP chinas navy consists of 99.9% brown water navy meaning only operational on rivers and lakes. Brown water ships do not operate in open waters and will sink about 3-10 miles into the sea. plus that region is plagued with freak weather.
Napoleon and Hitler both did the same thing before realising the English Channel was too difficult to cross. I might think ferries slowly sailing across 80 odd miles of sea would make an easy target for a multitude of weapons.
