Thank you FLF,, your videos are absolutely the VERY BEST! Best field work, Best equipment, Best editing, Excellent length so we can switch to full screen view, sit back and enjoy our fav beverage while we watch some amazing hotrods, their pilots and crew do their THANG!
Daymn,, I wonder if there couldn't be at least another 400, maybe 500 non essential spectators walking around in the staging lanes? Not to wish bad stuff on them but one of these days something like an engine, clutch, rear gear letting go, a throttle stick and some people will be wishing they had been along the fence or in the "spectator" seats. Not that these pilots don't already have enough on their minds keeping their race horse aligned downrange but they have to fret about all the peeps in their way as they roast the tires.
Actually at this race it did. After a fresh prep, it was about 5-8 pairs then the line from the waterbox to the beams was trashed from the amount of sand being brought up by the spectators and gamblers who just had to crowd the starting line. Still amazed me people hooked even after driving thru all the garbage.
@@tallone09 lol u know it fastest mud stang I've ever seen had a chevy motor in it lol they r good so if u wreak it u just go find a nother one dime a dozen lol
I agree, ENTIRELY TOO MUCH 1/8th mile racing today....SMFH....its really a crying shame these guys cant give us fans 1 SINGLE ALL 1/4MILE grudge race a year.....JUST 1 ALL 1/4mile race a year......I don't think that's asking these guys for much.
@@mason3742 I come from a dragracing family,my grandfather was a master mechanic.we never raced the 1/8 mile never.it was always the 1/4 and i did the same.
90% of raceing nowadays is 1/8 mile people don't like to run 1/4 because it's hard on engines and parts and running the 1/4 requires alot more maintance
nah cant keep saying that, it's not like asking them to switch from 1/8th mile racing to run 1 mile on the Bonneville flats....SMFH.....what has happened is that too many new fans have come into the sport while 1/8th mile is the norm so they think it's the best there is BUT dont kid yourselves.....IF the fans stopped supporting it & started sending emails & made calls to the tracks & raceteams that we want to see 1/4mile racing then bet your bottom dollar it would be changes ASAP.....as for me I haven't been to an 1/8th mile race in 7 years & will not go to one until there is at least a 50/50 split between 1/4mile & 1/8th mile racing.....right now we make 2 NHRA NATIONAL EVENTS a year featuring Promod & that's it....the rest we just look at online.
@@frank-xp6pj hell no you could call all the race teams you want and tell them you want them to start raceing 1/4 and see what they tell you lmao if the fans don't pay for our cars and parts we could care less what you wanna see 1/8mile raceing is where it at period it keeps the raceing somewhat close and I can promise IDC what tracks you call 1/8mile will always be more popular then 1/4 and I can guarantee there are alot more racers that would reather run 1/8 over the 1/4 when it comes down to it the fans really have no say they don't pay for our cars

i agree, that's a serious problem. noticed at end of the night, everybody kept blowing their tires off at the start.
@@michaelbuxton9611 blowin the tires off has nothing to do with people standing in the staging area lol
