By the way, those smart headlights will not be in the US due to our backwards auto regulation here. These kind of headlights have been on Euro vehicles for almost a decade, especially Audi.
The US requires a manual 'high' 'low' switch on the interior and there can be no in between unfortunately.
Also please, if you know someone buying a New Car, don't let them buy a Gas Car. Makes no sense at this point. and i haven't seen any Tesla Content creators pushing this at the beginning of their video's or at the End of the Video. Great content as always! I currently drive a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid & I love it , it's basically a fully loaded model Y for the 1st 30 miles of my day but will def purchase Y in the near future. Waiting for more features & creature comforts (XM radio, heated/cooled seats & steering wheel, auto dimming folding/heated mirrors, 350+mile range) then it will be perfect.

@@avintoussaint3551 I meant ventilated front seats to be exact. I heard Tesla already have a patent for a more effiencient ventilated or cooled seats that uses significant less energy.
@@mrnumbnutz The model Y will become more features packed car or SUV than any of the Tesla line up due to it will be their bread and butter car from now through near future. People are crazy about SUV and the model Y will need all of this features to completely beat all of the competition. The model X is more of a nostalgia car same as the model S. Tesla does not make a lot of profit from both model s and model x car now.
I just got my 2021 Model Y Long Range yesterday (Oct 25) and the front windows are dual pane, but not the rear windows. I can't hear any wind noise.
I did a thorough check of everything during delivery and only found a tear in the leather to the right of the center console that they said they would fix, and a minuscule paint defect on the rear tailgate that looks like it could be buffed out.
The center console in my car is the same piano black one as before (not updated yet).
Also, they no longer allow you to turn off/adjust regenerative braking just heads up.
I went for the upgraded black rims and I definitely recommend them. The ride is still smooth but the car looks so much better.
I already love my Model Y and I can’t wait to own it for a long time!

@@Rahul-Nalawade I’m pretty sure you have up to one year to pick up your Tesla. My friend put in an order for a model 3 last April and he still hasn’t gone to pick it up yet. Whenever a car of the same spec as the one that you ordered is ready they will contact you and if you’re ready to pick it up then you can respond to confirm and pick a date for delivery.
I didn’t get the actual vin until I was reached out to saying that my model Y was ready and I picked the delivery date

Rav4 Prime is what you need. Its priced at almost $55 loaded, but good range and is hybrid.
1. Don't load yourself with debt just to get a cool car. The smart money drives a paid off car, and what you have is pretty reliable and can handle a child. Model Y with FSD (trust me, you need it with a Y), third row (if/when you need to truck along visitors), tax, and transport costs are around $60k. Paying off debt is wiser, especially credit card and student debt.
2. When it comes to having kids, look into NAC (n-acetyl l-cysteine) and ALA (alpha lipoic acid) from TTC all the way through pregnancy. Both have multiple benefits throughout the process.

I ordered my Model Y a couple weeks ago. I'll be getting the double-pane glass and heated mirrors! I don't believe I'll be getting the heated steering wheel (bummer!). I'll let you know if it does come with it. I'll also have to remember that Tesla will keep improving the vehicle after I get mine.

The 2021 Model Y I picked up yesterday 10/27 built in Oct. with a 61xxx vin did not include the the double plated glass windows

Very informative been putting off ordering for some time and I am happy to wait for the best, I am in the UK would not order model 3 now because they are now being imported from China with the new chemistry batteries and build the quality ??????????

I lease a model S which is 2 years old so I fortunately won’t be in the market for a new one until next September. I am thinking of switching to the model Y so I hope you are right about the air suspension and the HEPA filter which I have on my model S. My biggest personal complaint on my model S is the iPhone interface. I wish they would either add wireless CarPlay or add more iPhone music control on the built in interface. I would love to see and select my playlists and directly on the Tesla screen.
heated steering wheel with PVC wrap is not cost reduction. Only recently there has been a material (TEP) developed that passes quality test for Strg Whl; durability plus not showing heating elements through.

Test drove a Y last weekend. Fantastic but I need to wait a bit before purchasing. Also the associate told me the the auto drive is going up to $10k on Thursday.
So is the lower range because the battery is different or did Tesla just change the program to lower the range on the rear drive model Y? Your thoughts.

Are they going to prevent the trunk lid allowing water into the car when you open it in the rain. I live in the uk so it is important to me.
I put a hitch on mine- not to tow but for bike rack and hitch tray for long trips- better than using a roof rack.

Ryan. Is cross traffic alert coming for Tesla Model Y? This would prevent getting slammed by another vehicle as you back out of a parking spot or driveway onto a cross street. Very common in luxury suv’s.

It is Tesla, ain't no such thing as lease to own. Current theme is lease, turn it back in, goes into robotaxi fleet, coming soon. Watch for robotaxi theme to drive things more and more.
I'm glad I got my M3 when I did, I actually prefer the older center console design. The new one looks too conventional, the old one looks more "sleek and modern."
Anyone know if they'll be retroactively upgrading model 3/Y to the new radar, just like they did w hardware 3.0, if you purchased FSD w the car?

All trims get the heat pump. If you get one, don't forget the FSD!
I would love to know if the FSD will require the new sensors for full functionality and if so how much of the functionality will be compromised with the current sensors.
Lack of microphones to detect sirens from emergency vehicles as they're approaching intersections is a bigger deal.
Can anyone suggest if Full Self Driving is even worth ticking as an option? I mean how often do you let the car do everything, or how often do you feel that AutoPilot would suffice your day to day needs?

It will certainly make sense to give the Model Y air suspension on the rear axle but hardly on the front axle. Remember the main advantage of air suspension is that it keeps the ride height and suspension stiffness the same at any given loading. All normally sprung cars use to stiff rear spring rates relative to front wheel rates to enable them to carry extra passengers and cargo. Especially with the seven seater soon entering production it will seem almost mandatory. Let’s hope the five seater will have air suspension as well, the comfort benefits are to good to be without. Does the upgrade feature a roof that doesn't fly off?
I wonder if the Y will have the unibody construction (front/rear) already in production or by year's end. That would be a real teaser with the upgraded rear suspension.

One of my main issues with the model 3 is the weak windshield that gets broken even by minor pebbles. I hope the laminated window is also the windshield.
It’s too bad the U.S. has old rules that don’t allow for these advanced lighting systems.
I wonder how long we will have to wait for the new batteries to be included in the M3 & MY. The model 3's boot entry is too small for my needs but the Model Y does not have a standard Range version. :(
I'm quite happy I still have to wait some time for the production in Grünheide (near Berlin, Germany) to start, because when it does, we'll get the best Model Y there is, here in Europe. With the news from this video included (thanks Ryan!), it looks very promising indeed.
Does the spiffy ultramodern Y yet benefit from the new more durable more efficient wiring harness?

@Enigma McC Those are repair releases, not emergency ones. They are concealed inside the door panels. You can drill holes in the map pockets and install a string to activate them. It looks to me a flimsy solution in such an expensive car. A model Y long range is about $ 58,000 after destination charges and taxes. It is not something acceptable to have to drill holes in such an expensive car to create a patch. It is a design flaw and a safety issue.
Waiting on model Y. VIN is 65s. Sales advisor confirmed heated steering wheel. He’s not sure if it has the heated sensors. Definitely no air suspension though.
When did you order and when did you get confirmation of the vehicle? The current wait is saying about 8-12 weeks.
@@nathanweiser6998 Update: Advisor got back and said he was incorrect. The only updates at this point are on the 3. He said new sensors are coming, but no clue when. Same with the rumors in this video. I think I'm going to wait.

I ordered a model Y a week ago. I was told by my Tesla sales advisor that Y's are being delivered with 2x window panes already.
Ryan, have you checked out the 3rd party noise reduction kits? I hear there are several- could you do a vid on them please, if not one you recommend?
4:00 Unless you're in one of those countries, you won't get to experience that headlight tech in the US. Audi and Mercedes have similar tech in their headlights, but it all has to be disabled for US models because the NHTSA doesn't allow them.
I picked up my Model Y at the end of June 2020. While it would be cool to have those new features, I'm still really happy with mine, and don't regret getting it at all. I honestly can't wait to see what the RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) Long Range one will cost when it comes out. If they price it around $40-44k, it will probably outsell every other Tesla model until that $25k one comes out in a few years.
If anything, automakers who don't have some kind of long range EV for sale soon should be the ones worrying. Tesla is slowly making its way into the more affordable vehicle market, and are forcing them to take EV's seriously. If they don't adapt and release EV's of their own, they're going the way of Blockbuster Video and Kodak Film, two once large companies that failed to adapt to changing consumer tastes until it was too late, and have now largely faded from the market.

You will be waiting for at least 2-3 years.. Model3 just got a big bump to 353 miles after 3 years... I'm in the same boat as you for the X, but I've been waiting for almost 2 years for a major refresh on the X... Sold my 2016 Model S couple months ago, and just put my order in a week ago on a Y... Will drive the Y for 2-3 years then decide between the X or the Cybertruck.
Also keep in mind... The more miles meaning longer charge time. So at the end it all evens out.
@@baldpnoy410 You have to remember that the new model Ys being built in Germany will be available probably the end of next year. Giga factory Austin will be completed by summer or fall of 2021. They already broke ground. I don't mind waiting 2 years. My prius will be paid off in 1 year. I'm sure the 250 super chargers will be more abundant in 2 years so we will be ok in regards to charging. What color Y did you get? Congratulations on your second Tesla. I just have 3 stocks for now lol.
@@BlackBirdieGolf You also have to remember the Y just released. He will not make a drastic change like that on a Y. Not under 2 years. If I have to guess, the new battery might get installed before then, but it will be software limited and still won't be over 400 miles.... Tesla has that capability and have done it to multiple batteries.
I always buy my Teslas at the wrong time it seems. Ha! The Model Y is very tempting I will wait a bit for it! I wish my Model 3 had the Refresh items it looks sweet now. I may upgrade my Model S to the Plaid later.

If you have the option to buy a 2019 Model 3 would buy one or wait to buy a 2021 Model 3 or Model Y

well I will also say this here as much as I have been successful in stock so far, I also advice we get involved with bitcoin trading mostly now that the market is very bullish and profitable if you trade with a working strategy/daily signals.

Hope this "waiting for better model.." doesn't trigger Tesla introducing "model year upgrade policy" and "paid upgrade" to curve the Osborn effect. Tesla's car is already a great value and their on going "free" upgrades are based on goodwill and to accelerate the faster rate of adoption of EV. If the core customer base is not on the same page and be on "me first" & maximize profit mode, Tesla will and should be like other corporate. Be grateful and be on the good side.. please. Let's keep this good thing going. Support Tesla.

@@gumerzambrano Because those will have the upgrades being rolled out in Germany and outlined on battery day: 1 piece front and rear underbody castings, battery as structural chassis member, advanced battery chemistry ... as well as advances like octovalve, heat pump,etc.

In summer we miss vented seats a lot.
Also hope to see a new model line other than the Cybertruck. Y and 3 are too similar looking to have both sit side by side.
After a while the difference between the two becomes more obvious. Not really a problem. The Y is going to crush the 3 as the Cyber is going to do subsequently.
