That was a nice and easy one Callum. I suppose the loco manufacturers are beginning to anticipate the needs of the modelers in regards to these modifications. A really beautiful model, I imagine you are very pleased to have it in your collection? Regards, David.
Thanks ever so much David! I hope it is of help to other starting out in adding DCC Sound to there models. Didn't know about those Brass Contacts until I started. Really is a lovely model indeed! WW1 SECR Grey. Quite a rare beast to find now :)
Very helpful. What was the other item in the box with the sound decoder?
Honestly don't know, think it might be a resistor of some sort for certain models
very cleaver,,,,But can this be fitted into :----- DC or DDC only ???
Hi there, by adding this decoder you are making the loco DCC (the loco was DC before fitting). All sound function will operate on DCC Control, however, if you choice to run the loco on DC the basic chuff should work. Hope this is of help
I take it you've heard of Hardy's hobbies 0-6-0 side tanks?
Yes, got one in a box I've yet to build, wonder what livery I'll put it in... ;)

Hi Callum. Interesting video. Just one criticism: Soldering 101 - always pre-tin parts you need to solder together.
Hi Paul, thanks for the advice. This was my first attempt at solidering, still got a lot to learn
Hello Callum, a great video :) I was in the sitting room watching this video whilst in the middle of cooking dinner, I went in to the kitchen and could hear the locomotive from there. Amazing sound quality, if that's a baby boomer heaven helps when it grows up !!!! lol
Many thanks Colin! Really does have quite a bit of oph to it! They do a number of larger versions too, would be interesting to hear what one of them would sound like! Glad you enjoyed!
