Headcannon, halfway through the song, everyone quickly ran out of steam, but Soldier uses the conch to heal everyone back up, and make them faster, causing them to glow slightly during the 2nd half of the song After the conch, the note speed is significantly faster, and misses are punished very severely due to the healing on hit from the conch
I personally like Spy's parts because of the piano in the backing track. The piano is played in such a way that you probably wouldn't hear in other fnf songs. Pianos usually play to add an intense beat or mood to a track, but this smooth, legato piano sets the gentlemanly mood of Spy, and not a high-intensity mood.
I like to believe that around 5:00 everyone starts getting real, everyone gets one "special" effect, for example: The scout get's the bonk effect, The soldier gets his trumpet done healing each mercenary, The pyro gets the mmph with the phlog, granting him crits, The demo gets the killstreak glowing eyes, The heavy using a crit minigun because of the Buffalo steak, The engineer has the frontier justice with crits, The medic gets über, The Sniper the focus for the Hitman's Heatmaker, & Finally the spy gets crits with the diamond back. Everyone gets crits btw.

I have another idea: When it’s someone’s turn they get ubered and their mechanics turn into buffed ones. Scout should be a full on SV chart (look it up) Soldier should be harder (but well charted) Afterburn should go faster but not impossible and there should be notes that speed it up like Vs Retro Demoman should get a modchart due to how drunk he is Heavy should get pootis birds flying around to distract you Engineer should use 8 keys on both sides at all times Medic heals himself, hurting you because of it (they go up means you go down) Sniper gets Jarate notes which disable you for a second and cover your screen Spy can cloak as BF, which makes him able to miss and spam to drain ur HP Saxton becomes insanely OP Would these be good or no?

Then, after 5:03 all their gimmicks are strengthened. Here are my ideas for the gimmicks, all the hurt notes here can kill you if you're low enough on health. Prepare for a very long comment. 4:12 - Scout reloads before firing bullet notes at you, all coming in groups of at least 3, that you have to avoid. Scroll speed is also faster here. 4:15 - Soldier blows the Conch and Buff Banner to temporarily increase your damage taken, both from hurt notes and missing, while firing rocket notes at you, which you have to avoid. 4:19 - Pyro's afterburn damages you as they fire flares you have to avoid. The flares deal 3x more damage than other hurt notes due to the crit on burning enemies. 4:22 - Demo fires high-damage pill notes at you that you have to avoid, along with stickies that stick to your notes in your "hit area". They all gain random crit notes that do 3x damage and can replace any hurt note. 5:03 - Scout swaps to the Soda Popper or Force-A-Nature to fire more bullets, and the scroll speed is even faster on his parts. It also speeds up mid-song, though with a clear indicator. 5:29 - All of Soldier's banner effects are strengthened and apply during his part; you take more damage from hurt notes and missing, and you have less health gain. 5:42 - Soldier uses the Direct Hit, making all of his rocket notes faster than normal notes and causing them to do 25% more damage. 6:01 - Pyro's afterburn applies, doing the same amount of damage as earlier. He uses the Scorch Shot, which only deals 1.5x the damage of normal hurt notes because it mini-crits burning enemies, but they can explode while moving, turning nearby notes into flaming notes that deal damage. 6:27 - Demo switches to the Loose Cannon and the Scottish Resistance. The Loose Cannon's hurt notes are faster and do extra damage because double donk. The Scottish Resistance stickies take more time to explode, but now stick to more than 1 note. 6:52 - Heavy eats the Dalokhos Bar before his turn, reducing the distance you can push him back on the bar because he has more health. There are now fast Eviction Notice notes that deal less damage but appear often. 7:18 - Engie now sings alongside his robot that plays notes, as he builds a mini-sentry that deals constant damage during this section. He also upgrades his dispenser for the last time, causing it to do even more healing to him and his teammates. Because he has the Gunslinger equipped now, he also gets an effect similar to Heavy with the Dalokhos Bar. 7:30 - Engie's mini-sentry is destroyed during this part of the song because he ran out of metal to repair it. 7:43 - Medic swaps to the Blutsauger, causing him to do more damage with syringe notes since he heals on hit. 8:10 - Sniper uses the Tribalman's Shiv instead of the stock Kukri, which does less damage when you hit the note but temporarily causes (or, adds to because of Engie's dispenser) damage over time. His bullet notes do not get the random crit ability that all the other mercs get here. 8:35 - Spy uses the Ambassador, dealing less damage per shot but occasionally causing a headshot which deals triple damage. 9:00 - Similar to 4:51 to 4:57, this time with the strengthened gimmicks and random crit notes. 9:23 - Saxton Hale arrives. His gimmick is punch notes, which are fast and instakill you if you miss them. I'd add more gimmicks, but the punches are punishing enough considering how much they happen in the song, and I don't know much about Saxton anyway.

If this mod will get additional weeks, I'm genuinely curious on how characters like the Sentry, boss robots, the big tanks, Sentry Busters, etc. will sound. I'm imagining Sentry singing its already existing version of "I'm blue" as its song. Sentry Busters might sound deeper than Sentry. Tanks, however...their "voice" might just be their horn.
A while back as scout, I single-handedly capped all points on the map, with no resistance, for the following rounds the enemy team would focus me and my medic wouldn’t heal me… this is what I heard.
I can hear lime scout, immortal soldier, pyroknight, demoknight, boxing heavy, battle engie, medic gf, huntsman and gunspy singing this, true fear at it's core.
If you listen closely during both overtimes, you can actually hear each merc distinct instrumental, so I would say that during the instrumental they are constantly changing places while shooting you... or at least trying to.
When this mod came out I was super excited, especially for spy because he was my main class. When I heard his song though it was kind of a bum. It makes me wonder why spy sounds better here...
I’m thinking right after the announcer says overtime all of them go at once maybe with a few nerved abilities but right after it goes back to each and every mercenary but all of their abilities are buffed

Medic, his bonesaw notes and Ubercharge Sniper, his arrow notes spy, his backstab notes Lastly Saxton HALE, his fists, 6 play notes and shakes the fucking screen. It’s gonna be hell playing the song but it’s gonna be fire at the same time.

I'd like to imagine that each mercenary gets a new ability along with an enhanced old one *Boston Boy Scout* - Still has the bonk notes and atomic punch effect (Changing the scroll speed) But the scout can now use his bat as a weapon to immobolize the player at certain points making him not able to hit notes *Nazi Killing Soldier* - Still has his rocket notes and shotgun ability but now he can use the Buff banner allowing for the rocket notes and Shotgun to deal more damage, Aswell as dealing damage each time he hits a note *Pyromaniac Pyro* - His afterburn effect is much faster and now in pyroland, Pyro can use the rain blower to airblast back BF's HP. This airblast can kill you and not stop you at 1 *Black scottish Demoman* - Does not have his scrumpy notes now, It is instead replaced with a new Pipe note which all has the Loose cannon, Stock and Iron bomber projectiles each having different speed and varying in damage (Loose cannon can double donk :troll:) *Heavy Weapons Guy* - Can now rev up his shotgun causing the notes to spin and deal damage when shooting, He loses his POW ability but in place can use the KGB which deals 90% of the health bar but is a slow note and a Shotgun note which deals 50% of the healthbar being regular speed *Texas Thrillin Engineer* - Now has a wrangled sentry accompanying him, This sentry deals massive damage in waves after BF finishes his verse He would still have 8 keys with the engibot *Homicide Assistor Medic!* - Armed with the Ubersaw dealing 25% of your hp (You know why), Whenever he gets 4 swings on you he will activate uber charge and will take no damage from notes for 20 seconds, He is no longer accompanied by his Subject (Heavy) because who needs friend right? *Sharpshooter Sniper* - Equipped with the Jarate, Bushwhacker and the Sydney sleeper. So: Scout's Bonk Speed up/Slow downs, Soldiers Dodging Gimmick, Pyro's AfterBurn, Demoman's Drunk Notes, Heavy's Punch-Notes, Engi's (IIRC 9 or 6) Notes, Medic's Uber, Sniper's Huntsman Notes, and Spy's Insta-Death Notes, And Saxton's Also Punch-Notes... Christ Almighty we are dead.
I have another idea: When it’s someone’s turn they get ubered and their mechanics turn into buffed ones.
Scout should be a full on SV chart (look it up)
Soldier should be harder (but well charted)
Afterburn should go faster but not impossible and there should be notes that speed it up like Vs Retro
Demoman should get a modchart due to how drunk he is
Heavy should get pootis birds flying around to distract you
Engineer should use 8 keys on both sides at all times
Medic heals himself, hurting you because of it (they go up means you go down)
Sniper gets Jarate notes which disable you for a second and cover your screen
Spy can cloak as BF, which makes him able to miss and spam to drain ur HP
Saxton becomes insanely OP

4:12 - 5:03 Based on the sounds in the background, I imagine this part as one big endurance section, where all the mercs' gimmicks are introduced one after the other with no breaks. Then, after 5:03 all their gimmicks are strengthened.
Here are my ideas for the gimmicks, all the hurt notes here can kill you if you're low enough on health. Prepare for a very long comment.
4:12 - Scout reloads before firing bullet notes at you, all coming in groups of at least 3, that you have to avoid. Scroll speed is also faster here.
4:15 - Soldier blows the Conch and Buff Banner to temporarily increase your damage taken, both from hurt notes and missing, while firing rocket notes at you, which you have to avoid.
4:19 - Pyro's afterburn damages you as they fire flares you have to avoid. The flares deal 3x more damage than other hurt notes due to the crit on burning enemies.
4:22 - Demo fires high-damage pill notes at you that you have to avoid, along with stickies that stick to your notes in your "hit area". If you don't hit a stickied note after a while, the stickies explode, dealing massive damage.
4:25 - Heavy revving his minigun to spin your notes
4:28 - Engineer's robot plays notes to do damage to you as Engie himself builds a dispenser that constantly damages you slightly for the rest of the song by healing the mercs.
4:31 - Medic fires syringes at you that do low damage but come in large groups and are treated like hold notes.
4:38 - Sniper gives you bunches of Kukri notes that you have to avoid, along with fast, high-damage bullet notes you have to avoid. Before firing a bullet, there's a red dot on one of your notes that signifies where the bullet will go. The bullet will always be accompanied by a normal note on the same lane, which is destroyed as soon as the bullet touches it.
4:44 - Spy firing at you to take HP while giving you instakill backstab notes, disguise notes, and cracked notes. Disguise notes start out looking like knives, but turn their sprite into normal notes in the middle of travelling to your hit area, with a bit of smoke; they don't instakill, but do lots of damage. Cracked notes destroy themselves when close to your hit area.
4:51 - The mercs go all-out with their gimmicks. Soldier blows the Buff Banner and Conch, increasing the damage you take from hurt notes. During this, he fires rockets, Scout fires bullets, and Pyro causes you to suffer afterburn while firing flares.
4:54 - Demo fires pills and stickies, as Engie's robot plays to drain health, and Heavy revs his minigun. Engineer upgrades his dispenser, causing it to do more damage.
4:57 - Medic fires syringes, Sniper uses Kukri notes and his fast sniper bullet notes, and all of Spy's special notes are used as well.
5:02 - Soldier blows the Battalion's Backup to reduce your health gain for the rest of the song.
5:03 - All of the mercs' gimmicks are strengthened. They all gain random crit notes that do 3x damage and can replace any hurt note.
5:03 - Scout swaps to the Soda Popper or Force-A-Nature to fire more bullets, and the scroll speed is even faster on his parts. It also speeds up mid-song, though with a clear indicator.
5:29 - All of Soldier's banner effects are strengthened and apply during his part; you take more damage from hurt notes and missing, and you have less health gain.
5:42 - Soldier uses the Direct Hit, making all of his rocket notes faster than normal notes and causing them to do 25% more damage.
6:01 - Pyro's afterburn applies, doing the same amount of damage as earlier. He uses the Scorch Shot, which only deals 1.5x the damage of normal hurt notes because it mini-crits burning enemies, but they can explode while moving, turning nearby notes into flaming notes that deal damage.
6:27 - Demo switches to the Loose Cannon and the Scottish Resistance. The Loose Cannon's hurt notes are faster and do extra damage because double donk. The Scottish Resistance stickies take more time to explode, but now stick to more than 1 note.
6:52 - Heavy eats the Dalokhos Bar before his turn, reducing the distance you can push him back on the bar because he has more health. There are now fast Eviction Notice notes that deal less damage but appear often.
7:18 - Engie now sings alongside his robot that plays notes, as he builds a mini-sentry that deals constant damage during this section. He also upgrades his dispenser for the last time, causing it to do even more healing to him and his teammates. Because he has the Gunslinger equipped now, he also gets an effect similar to Heavy with the Dalokhos Bar.
7:30 - Engie's mini-sentry is destroyed during this part of the song because he ran out of metal to repair it.
7:43 - Medic swaps to the Blutsauger, causing him to do more damage with syringe notes since he heals on hit.
8:10 - Sniper uses the Tribalman's Shiv instead of the stock Kukri, which does less damage when you hit the note but temporarily causes (or, adds to because of Engie's dispenser) damage over time. His bullet notes do not get the random crit ability that all the other mercs get here.
8:35 - Spy uses the Ambassador, dealing less damage per shot but occasionally causing a headshot which deals triple damage.
9:00 - Similar to 4:51 to 4:57, this time with the strengthened gimmicks and random crit notes.
9:23 - Saxton Hale arrives. His gimmick is punch notes, which are fast and instakill you if you miss them. I'd add more gimmicks, but the punches are punishing enough considering how much they happen in the song, and I don't know much about Saxton anyway.

A while back as scout, I single-handedly capped all points on the map, with no resistance, for the following rounds the enemy team would focus me and my medic wouldn’t heal me… this is what I heard.

If you listen closely during both overtimes, you can actually hear each merc distinct instrumental, so I would say that during the instrumental they are constantly changing places while shooting you... or at least trying to.

I'd like to imagine that each mercenary gets a new ability along with an enhanced old one
*Boston Boy Scout* - Still has the bonk notes and atomic punch effect (Changing the scroll speed) But the scout can now use his bat as a weapon to immobolize the player at certain points making him not able to hit notes
*Nazi Killing Soldier* - Still has his rocket notes and shotgun ability but now he can use the Buff banner allowing for the rocket notes and Shotgun to deal more damage, Aswell as dealing damage each time he hits a note
*Pyromaniac Pyro* - His afterburn effect is much faster and now in pyroland, Pyro can use the rain blower to airblast back BF's HP. This airblast can kill you and not stop you at 1
*Black scottish Demoman* - Does not have his scrumpy notes now, It is instead replaced with a new Pipe note which all has the Loose cannon, Stock and Iron bomber projectiles each having different speed and varying in damage (Loose cannon can double donk :troll:)
*Heavy Weapons Guy* - Can now rev up his shotgun causing the notes to spin and deal damage when shooting, He loses his POW ability but in place can use the KGB which deals 90% of the health bar but is a slow note and a Shotgun note which deals 50% of the healthbar being regular speed
*Texas Thrillin Engineer* - Now has a wrangled sentry accompanying him, This sentry deals massive damage in waves after BF finishes his verse He would still have 8 keys with the engibot
*Homicide Assistor Medic!* - Armed with the Ubersaw dealing 25% of your hp (You know why), Whenever he gets 4 swings on you he will activate uber charge and will take no damage from notes for 20 seconds, He is no longer accompanied by his Subject (Heavy) because who needs friend right?
*Sharpshooter Sniper* - Equipped with the Jarate, Bushwhacker and the Sydney sleeper. Whenever you get covered in piss, Take increased missing damage and get damaged when sniper sings, This can kill you and wont stop at 1
*The Backstabber, Spy* - Backstab notes look like normal notes but in a column, They are the wrong notes and look the wrong way, Spy can now shoot you which deals 20% of your hp acting as a pressuring tool
*SAXTON HALLLLLLEEEEE* - Punch, Kills you instantly
