    Since they are looking for a transformational leader then Rbonney fits the bill. She teaches sewing skills to victims of domestic violence, abuse, trafficking, and underserved communities to have another chance at life. She also teaches young kids sewing skills so they could have a skill as young as they are. Furthermore, her advocacy for sustainable fashion is timely and relevant as fast fashion is top 3 contributor of pollution in the world. This girl walks the talk and is such a beautiful, and genuine human being.

      Did you see that the new Miss Universe Sash is sustainable?

    • @alexanderpowell4789
      @alexanderpowell4789 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@DaniWalker Yes. I love it. It's a step in the right direction. Hopefully, MUO would start requiring their delegates next year or for the years to come to use sustainable and recyclable materials for their wardrobe and competition pieces. This is why I respect Rbonney because she promotes sustainable fashion.

      yes, very authentic. her speech in Asian Chamber of Commerce - Houston on Asian American culture was just overflowing with such warmth and genuineness. Very gently spoken yet very much filled with power. Love her, especially how she humbly and at the same time proudly carries her heritage/identity with her. She deserved the win as the 71st Miss U. Looking forward to her making more than her recent triple history, and more of her voice for and of many representations, as her own person and as the first MU transformational leader/force for good. ❤

      also refreshing that the winner is not a lawyer, doctor, engineer, those usual professional professions seen as strong. but someone on the ground who is making an actual real difference. transformational leaders need not need degrees to make a difference.

You stayed neutral during the controversy and are complimentary of the awkward position beginning R'Bonney's reign, though it's no fault of her own. Thanks for fair and objective tips. The Miss USA organization needs to employ you for your expertise! 😉

    R’bonney is one of the most prepared Miss USA’s we have had in a really long time. Not only that but R’bonney is so hands on with the preparation and everything leading up to her competition it’s refreshing. I see her being up there with the Philippines as the top two holding hands.

  • @jameswithoutfrontiers
    @jameswithoutfrontiers 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    I agree with you 100% with regard to her exceptional skill set that has made her appear totally together despite the messy Miss USA drama. I would hope that she would be judged fairly at Miss U, but I wonder if, given the ongoing investigation of Miss USA, the new Miss U organization might avoid rewarding the crown to USA, even if she did perform the best at Miss U, simply because the new Miss U organization would want to start with a clean record without the risk of some proven or unproven American scandal tarnishing its image from the get-go. Or maybe the new Miss U organization won’t care about this. Can’t wait to see the outcome. :)

Despite all the challenges regarding the Miss USA organization, you know that R'Bonney has what it takes to be self sufficient and get the job done. A great video and observation of Miss USA. I like the winner and it does suck that the controversy caused by someone else's negligence kind of tainted her win. However, as you pointed out she's taking this on like a true champion. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if she took over the organization after her reign because I think she can teach the future Miss USA and Teen USA how to be resourceful especially when the odds are against you. Also, since the controversy, she isn't receiving as much love and support outside of the Filipino community. I, too, have a strong feeling that she and her team are keeping a low profile and will come out like a storm come pageant week. Miss USA is still one of my favorites because she has a point of view that is authentic to her.
    Dani, I would love if you did a video like this for Trinidad & Tobago and other countries after the competition. I think the organizations in those countries need to see outside perspectives from people with big platforms on what changes must be made in order to compete and do well in the pageant world. If you were to do such a video for Miss Trinidad and Tobago, our comments would be the same.

    And here's a question... what happens if R'Bonney does (Indeed) win Universe? Is the Miss USA organization prepared for that amidst all their current drama? Is North Carolina ready? Are they engaging her yet? I'm not sure that I've seen a Miss USA enter Universe with this much potential crown buzz... honestly, ever! So I hope the Miss USA org has a plan of action.

Honestly, it looks like some of them were there just cause they are from USA; but at the same time, most werent and that "cloud" took away the shine of some USA ladies because a lot of pegeants fans from other countries do not give a fair chance to USA contestants.

      @@Agent-ie3uv You are trying to be funny. HAHAHA. Well atleast you tried.
      Can you even mention any Miss Philippines who didn't deserve her placement? I mean, c'mon, Philippines did not disappoint, every year they have a target on their back, they always see the Philippines Representive as a tough comw, and that's a testament on how great the women from the Ph are.
      In our words, WALANG TAPON.
      They always deliver, and you can hate on that, but don't discredit the women. Thank you.

      Yes, Morgan from North Carolina would then move to LA and R'Bonney would move to NYC.

    In 2012, the same favoritism allegations dogged Miss USA org. right after Olivia Culpo's coronation as it had R'Bonney Gabriel in 2022. But guess what happened at Miss Universe later a decade ago?
    This year I predict Celeste Cortesi, the current Miss Philippines with more or less the same personality traits as Janine Tagonon - authentic, elegant, sophisticated, smart, confident - will be holding hands with Miss USA as the last 2 standing in MIss Universe 2022 finals. Except that R'Bonney Gabriel will definitely deliver the better Q&A than Olivia Culpo in her time.
    All the best to the two!

    Dani, I loveeeee you, but R'Bonney needs to wear her hair PIN STRAIGHT; see Miss Texas USA 2021 Prelims. Her hairography with straight hair since she is biracial (half Filipina/half white) is something that a lot of contestants cannot pull off, but she looks absolutely stunning with!!

    The power of patriotism!!! You have Filipino blood running through your veins, expect Filipinos around the world will rally support in any means. Like we support Suzanne (NM), Kiana (HI), and Averie B, + R' Bonney (TX) in Miss USA 2022 edition. France had a French connection, and the Philippines had 'BAYANIHAN' connection. 🇵🇭🍾👑

    I agree that R'Bonney is a great contestant. I hope she does win. I can see Filipinos in the crowd with both Philippine and American flags. Something came out yesterday about Catriona Gray being the host of this year's pageant. Also, the judges would come from Thailand. I question the fairness of this. Could you do a video on this?
