The driver was probably only seeing the sky if he was lounging back in his seat like many idiots do.
The tail lights of the innocent car were clearly visible, don't even need your headlights on to see those! This idiot was racing while looking at the other car!
There was an accident in Poland recently with BMW going over 300km/h and crashing similarly from behind into another car on highway. The car caught fire and a family burned alive. So lucky that the tank didn't break in this case
Why didn’t the vette move over to give room for the mustang?
Same reason they were driving 140 mph. Dummies.
cause the Corvette was getting beat, he held the Mustang over in that lane were he would have to slow down
@@mossycreektennessee6528 I see that he had half a car length but still you don’t run in behind a pedestrian car.
@@mossycreektennessee6528 both drivers were intoxicated. All survived.
I hope they got life in prison without parole
I actually like how the comment section isnt actually defending the racers, but rather praying for the innocent person AND even wishing for the racers not to have made it out alive.
I hope they live to deal with the debt and prison time
Wrong Grandpa, not everyone is as old and evil as you. Pick your ⚰️ yet?
If anything, you should be calling this comment immature and childish. But I guess someone who is as old as you cant tell the difference, can they... how controversial.
Sparks don’t make it a “fiery crash”. Why lie?
The Pony boy was winning I guess he can brag about that while sitting in jail.
He's dead
It's not a good idea to street race, especially if you are blind.
Until a sentence of death penalty this wont stop.
They should never be allowed to drive again for something like this
These people that are street racing need to be charged with felonies
Dashcam driver was rolling along @83mph, they went past like he was standing still...
All these crashes in last decade are influenced by movies ,very well known ones… people forget they watched a movie not documentary…
"I live my life a quarter mile at a time..."
Which ones? There isn't any street racing movies in the last 10-15 years that I can think of.
No, they're not. Before racing movies existed men raced their cars. Certain personalities and people with certain upbringings will always want to race.
@@bufficliff8978 that's why I'm asking what street racing movies are we talking about? I seriously don't know of any that have been made in the last 10-15 years.
Plus dudes have been street racing since the prohibition days and street racing was really popular in the 60's-70's.
Darwin award winner's right there
I seriously hope those racers werent able to walk away from that. Maybe its an unpopular opinion, but there's definitely a percentage of the population that the rest of us would be better off without, and these idiots are a prime example. If you're willing to make a deliberate decision that other peoples lives dont matter, then yours shouldn't matter either.
Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.
*Not one single second of evasive maneuvering or braking was even attempted by either vehicle to even somewhat or slightly try to avoid or mitigate what happened. That's insane. Those were either inexperienced kids or they were completely drink/high.*
I think they were ‘drink’ sir, May I have another?
I never feel sorry for stupid.
I didn't know you could get your licence if you were blind! 🤔
They give driver's licenses away like candy on Halloween in the USA.
What exactly makes you think the driver has a license? You don't need a license to drive a car. Driving without a license is not any more illegal than drag racing on the highway or speeding like they were.
Stupid is what stupid does- Forrest Gump 😂😂
Life in prison for these criminals!!
Mustang: Still reinforcing the stereotype.
The fact it took the camera car awhile to catch up even though the other cars were going sideways.
Camera car driver obviously braked hard upon seeing the crash. Also be aware that speed readout on dashcam is GPS and lags by a couple seconds.
Stubborn, that 'vette driver. Had at least a second to give the 'stang driver some room to maneuver, but nope. Stuck to his lane like he was glued to it, and got wiped out as a result, too.
Both are idiots. Glad the innocent driver is okay.
Jail for ever if the are alive 😡
As a young car enthusiast, I understand the urge to sometimes race on the freeway …. that being said, if you’re gonna go fast or do anything dumb? MAKE SURE THE HIGHWAY IS EMPTY. People who race in traffic like this give car enthusiasts a bad name. Even better? Race on a closed course.
@@Barold138 You make absolutely no sense… don’t drive at all unless it’s an emergency? I can understand the not racing on public roads part … but not driving is overkill, how are you supposed to go far distances without a car? Please go touch some grass.
The yellow car should've immediately swerved left to allow the other car to pass that slow-moving car.
But he deliberately stayed in his lane and boxed his opponent in. I could just imagine his gloating when his rival rear-ended that slow car !
I seriously doubt the Vette knew the other driver wasn't going to take the necessary actions to not slam into that Hyundai. You can't rely on another driver getting out of your way.
So true. The Corvette driver made no effort to give room. besides the horrible crash, that was the first thing i noticed. Just like merging onto the freeway. All cars have a responsibility to make room when possible. Luckily nobody died. We never hear about the penalties for these idiots. Speeding tix are one thing, but combined with wreckless driving, consequence shoukd be very severe....
Drives mustang + high speed = DANGER
Until there are real and painful penalties for this stuff it won't stop. Jail time and no plea bargaining on first offenses
And the Darwin award goes to.....
Rule #1 when racing: If the other guy wipes out, leave the scene, turn off quickly, and drive slowly home and park in the garage. It never happened!
What about when the other guy runs into you and both wipe out ???
F - Around and find out
My boyfriend used to do the occasional street race, but now he keeps a picture of us over his RPM gauge to remind himself that it’s not worth it. When he told me the reason why he had the picture there I started crying.
From just that, he sounds like a good man. Much more caring for his fellow man as well. Being stupid could cost someone else their family members as well.
So he only started to care when it was his loved one affected? That’s still selfish.
Irony is WAY more guys do it BECAUSE so many women are into it. They're out there doing this TO get women, and do. Acting like this gets so many people heavily rewarded. While the people who refuse to do so out of responsibility, well they're boring, let's go do drugs with the bad boys
selfish would require not caring at all, about anyone. He'd still be doing it. He stopped. Caring proven. @@Nik-pp3qs
Sounds dumb and made up.
Guy in the Mustang never hit his brakes, never even saw the Hyundai. He needs to spend some prison time.
Smh hope the people in the exit lane are ok
sometimes I really dislike people
The collective of people in the comments trying to defend the illegal highway racing is a serious brainwave.
Now I wonder does he think it was worth it?.. probably not.
Don’t drive Let alone Race! If you’re vision impaired blind and can’t see😳
They watched too many movies where nothing happens after.
They need to make a Street Racer Bill which makes minimum sentencing for street racing that results in death a life sentence.
Cringe
What did they hit?
I bet the Mustang driver gets probation by pleading Affluenzia
Mostly peaceful fiery crash
dude in the vette didnt even try to move over to make room for the mustang smh... drive safe check your mirrors and I pray the innocent family is alright
The corvette driver probably thought of the collision as a win for him and nothing more. Just like in video games.
Spoken like a Mustang driver. "That crowd didn't even try to get out of my way while I was flailing around at WOT"!!!
