Bebe and Cece winans are a classic gospel group!! Their whole family is well known for making gospel hits. all of their siblings can SANG and are just as musically gifted. their brothers have a group called the winans you should check out some of their music too you’ll love it!!!
This song was #1 on the R&B, hip-hop, and gospel charts when it came out. It was actually more popular in "secular" spaces than in the church. They were DRAGGED for this song.
Love this song. Until I read the lyrics, did I realize it was praising The All Mighty. This song received a lot of airplay on R&B radio, in the early 90’s.
LISTEN and HEAR me well, BEBE and CECE are so far beyond their time, it's insane! I grew up listening to them, know every single song and YOU CANNOT GO WRONG with them! This whole album was so HUGE that it was like a Pop star when they released it! That's how EXCELLENT this album is. To this day, it is in my top 5 albums of all time. ALLL of their albums are MASTERPIECES! Bebe writes and produces most of their music. They are a Christina duo so, you may not have heard of them but, go down their catalogue and you will be BLESSED! Try Searching for Love by Bebe-whew!! Tears! Even their solo albums are Masterpieces! I normally don't comment like this but, young man, listen to them. Also, Whitney herself said if she could only listen to 1 person's music the rest of her life, it would be THEM! Whitney herself said it and she sings background for THEM! lol! Ok, I'm done but, listen, check them out. YOU WILL BE BLESSED!! Great reaction!
i normally dont comment either...these are two of the greatest voices to ever blessed this earth...i would encourage all to check the catalog...full of great songs together, individually and with other singers
Yoooooo!!! This song will NEVER not be in rotation; this whole album was church youth group jam material!!! 🤣🙌🏾🥰🤗 There’s a live performance of them doing this at the Apollo and they showed they…🫏. Keeping it cute for the church mothers and elders in the room. 😭🤣
Hi, that is her brother BeBe Winans. They are a huge Gospel family it is a lot of them, and they all sing. Her and her brother BeBe made a lot of songs together.
As soon as you said Bebe’s voice reminds you of another male R&B singer from the 80s, my immediate thought was Alexander O’Neal. Great reaction as always. 💜
That's a rabbit hole worth going down. Do YOURSELF a favor, and check out their catalogue, as well as Bebe's solo projects. One of my all time favorite male singers. Bebe can flat out blow.
Bebe & Cece are siblings. Love them. Take a listen to “Its Ok”. Amazing choice, you’ll never be disappointed! Their family ‘Winans’ are all Gospel artists/. Top notch🙂
Great Request, Al. Love CeCe & BeBe Winans. I love, love, love this song & by the way you got me back Al. I've got this song in queue for Jack to react to, but you got it to him first. Thanks for requesting this. This song is not underrated, Jack, just this video as you suggested. This is a very popular song. And they are siblings.
Gotta listen to their song Heaven. Whether you listen to Gospel or not, their songs were so ahead of it’s time. The words to their songs were so clever, people didn’t even know they were Christian songs. Their music wasn’t so overly churchy and deep, anyone could listen and enjoy it, which is why they are the best. They never compromised their message, but made music that resonated with everyone.
Facts. I didn't grow up in a religious family, but BeBe, CeCe and The Winans stayed in my parents' rotation. We played "Tomorrow" and "Don't Cry for Me" at my dad's funeral in 2021.
I was JUST listening to this song earlier this evening!! My FAVORITE Gospel song of all time!!! BeBe and CeCe are truly legends!!! Thanks for doing this one, Jack!!
I debated with myself about requesting this song, because I wasn't sure it was going to resonate with folks. The first time I heard it was when I was a kid. Got home from school. Turned on BET just as this video started playing on TV. It stopped me in my tracks. This song has been on repeat in my heart ever since. Be blessed! 🙏🏾
Wasn't this album completely magical? This album is one of the best, most expertly produced albums of all time. Bebe and Cece really don't get the credit they deserve...
Yes they are from the Winans Gospel family they are siblings. You should check out the Winans featuring Anita Baker Ain't no need to Worry... also The Winans A Million Didn't Make it. They are from Detroit just like The Clark Sisters
Great duo, song, and album (Different Lifestyles)! You would love their live performances with Whitney singing with them AND backup! (e.g., "Lost Without You" and "Hold Up the Light" on Arsenio; on "Hold Up the Light", the band accidentally played it super fast because they were nervous...but BeBe, CeCe, and Whitney handled it like pros. Their faces when they realized what happened is funny, though).
Great choice. Their whole family sings. Their brothers-The Winans were one of the groups that changed the sound of gospel music. It was controversial at the time because the sound was so non traditional but their message was undeniably gospel. Check them out, you won't be sorry. A good song to start with is Tomorrow.
See if this music video was reupdated on TH-cam and played on radio rotations it will get a billion views on TH-cam it's sad that some old skool music didn't get the credits they deserve
This was such a huge track for gospel music that took a deep dive into R&B! I would also recommend “Beauty for Ashes” by Crystal Lewis & Ron Kenoly. Another 90s classic gospel/R&B moment.
Yes, I need to do BB and CC heaven that’s the song. They are a large family and these are two people singing together our brothers and sister they are from a gospel family.
Listen to the lyrics closer, this is actually a gospel song with some secular music production. It's saying addicted to God's love and it's taking me higher!!
It's weird that my ENTIRE playlist is from TH-cam and every video that is blocked from your end, I can see.🤷🏾♀️ Wanya goes off with the neck jerking and he's wet , in the 3rd verse. It's hilarious!

"Addictive Love" was such a popular Christian contemporary song during that era. It stayed on the Billboard charts.
Yes but Gospel. Not "Contemporary Christian" ❤
All praise is due to the most high ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this song. Until I read the lyrics, did I realize it was praising The All Mighty. This song received a lot of airplay on R&B radio, in the early 90’s.
Their performance of this at the Apollo, is A-1!!!!
RIGHT?! I was going back & forth about which video I was to request. 😄

YESSSS!!! YOU FEEL ME!! lol!! They have helped me through more dark nights than anyone else..no lie! the whole family is talented! lol!@@Don-wi6gl
Bebe and Cece were pioneers of combining gospel music with r & b.
Yoooooo!!! This song will NEVER not be in rotation; this whole album was church youth group jam material!!! 🤣🙌🏾🥰🤗 There’s a live performance of them doing this at the Apollo and they showed they…🫏. Keeping it cute for the church mothers and elders in the room. 😭🤣
Fun fact! These two, were so good as a duo, that people actually thought they were husband and wife, rather than brother and sister!
My Mom would usually have this album in rotation during Saturday morning house chores after breakfast back in the 90’s/early 2000’s.
Hi, that is her brother BeBe Winans. They are a huge Gospel family it is a lot of them, and they all sing. Her and her brother BeBe made a lot of songs together.

Can you imagine a whole family of folks singing like this? The Winans are legendary. This is a love song to God.
Beautiful loving God is addictive 🙏🏽♥️🙌🏾
This song was big when it came out on urban stations. They have an amazing catalog. Bebe wrote the majority if not all of their songs.
Bebe & Cece are siblings. Love them. Take a listen to “Its Ok”. Amazing choice, you’ll never be disappointed!
Their family ‘Winans’ are all Gospel artists/. Top notch🙂
Thank you Al for the request!!!

I was JUST listening to this song earlier this evening!! My FAVORITE Gospel song of all time!!! BeBe and CeCe are truly legends!!! Thanks for doing this one, Jack!!
They both have such rich, classic, smooth, soothing voices.
I used to pass their family church when I would go to Detroit when I was a little girl.
Heaven by BeBe and CeCe
Just in case some don't know, they're singing about the Love from God.
Beautiful song, love this 😊
You’re on fire with these reactions Jack! I love it, thank you for sharing these videos with us ❤

Their nephew Mario Winans is a R&B singer song writer. He worked a lot with Diddy.
Great duo, song, and album (Different Lifestyles)! You would love their live performances with Whitney singing with them AND backup! Hold up the Light is my jam!
Bebe is the 7th born and Cece is the 8th. Mom Winans had 7 boys straight and 3 girls later.
