The Harry Potter books are those kinds of books that you can't wait to finish but also don't want to because the writing style is original and the storyline is very enjoyable for both children and adults. I just love the series

Mine is so much different, it’s blue and when you put all the books next to each other they show a picture of a huge castle. New to Harry Potter but the box is awesome!

Well, this is the video I took as reference a year ago when I decided to buy this book set and, although it is goregeous, there are some problems that I believe the people should know.
Firstly, you need to be exceedingly careful if you want to keep them prestene. The covers have titles in a sort of golden ink that will wear out with the minimal use. I strongly recommend removing the book jacket.
Secondly, once I’d read the books, even though i’d been cautious to an insane degree, they seem to had expanded a bit and the book set case is so tight that they don’t fill properly anymore so I have to leave the one that I’m reading outside all the time. That is something to keep in mind because if you try to push the book in, you will ware off the gold paint that I mentioned before.
That said the covers and the overall edition of this set is breathtaking. Just keep in mind these inconveniences because if you are a book maniac as I am, you will find them serious problems in a long term.
I’d love to hear if Michelle has encountered these issues as well or maybe the weather from where I am (with a coast Mediterranean humid weather) has influenced on some of the issues
It;s a common problem with this set. They expand because the book bindings are glued (like paperbacks), not sewn. Hardbound books always used sewn bindings until recently. However, more and more publishers are cheating their customers by using glue in the hard-covered books , which means that hardcover books won’t last as long as they used to. Some also use cheap paper, which will deteriorate due to acid as well. It’s shameful.

Yesterday I decided to start reading and "What better book to start than Harry Potter?" I thought, I had a preview of the first chapter and I knew I was going to read the whole series, can't wait to get my own collection!
Harry potter is my favorite thing in the entire world! I have the original hardbacks but I really want this one! My husband has the chamber of secrets autographed by JK Rowling when the book first came out! It's sooo cool and special! His dad went to the signing to get it signed for him right there! Sorry for the long comment lol this version of the books are beautiful

I'm actually collecting the original hardbacks right now! I'm going to London in December so hopefully I can find some in secondhand bookstores ^^
If this box set states that it is a Childrens version, does it affect any of the actual writing inside the book? For instance if I bought the Original Philosophers Stone and also got the Philosophers Stone in this package, would the story be any different? Im asking because I dont want a childrens version :/
Sandeep Virk the only difference between the children collection and normal collection is the covers of the books. The content is the same :)
Sandeep Virk don't worry they only made it so the cover is more for kids the story and everything is all the same as adult.

Is this set having a larger print type as compared to the paperbacks of the same cover ?
I remember going to the school library and looking at first editions cover (because it showed life on the book cover).

- I don't know much about the binding because I keep this set as my 'pretty' boxed set for show on my bookshelves, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help with that
- These books are called the children's editions, but the tekst is completely the same as always. It's only the covers that are different!

You're not the only one with 2 sets. I have a mixed UK set of the books. Books 1-4, and 6 are the children's covers and 5 and 7 are the adult covers. And now I'm going and buying the US paperback editions as I currently read them. I'm currently on Chamber of Secrets.

I got first 5 for Christmas, 2020 and I got the other 2 later on in 2021. BUT FINALLY I HAVE THEM ALL! Yayy. And did you know there's 7 Horcruxes, 7 books, and Harry's Quidditch number is 7.

The hardback version of these books is gorgeous! I love the box design and how it opens up (plus the thestral looks so cool); unfortunately, I couldn’t find any available hardback versions of this set, but the paperback is pretty great too! ☺️💘💫
I recently watched all of the Harry Potter movies for the first time and just completely fell in love. I've been wondering which set of books to get and I saw this particular one in my local book store but wasn't sure about it. Then I came across your video and your channel and honestly the look of pure joy on your face, your glowing smile, and the sparkle in your eyes just completely won me over. Your happiness is very very infectious and you warmed my heart a lot today 😊

Ron Harry and hermoine have all the same text font when they are talking in the books and only in their letters(mails) all the characters handwriting is revealed

I got Voldemort's wand and almost the whole HP collection. Since english isn't my first language, these books will help me improve even more. The only downside being that i have to wait around 5 to 10 days for them to arrive from the UK.

I am getting the box set delivered today and the only thing I don't like is on the back of the 4th book it's just the Golden Trio. It should have showed the Triwizard Cup or the Golden Egg. But that's a small detail.
I have all of these in paperback and I'm only missing philosophers stone to finish the set. They are really nice covers I agree.

I have first Harry Potter book bloomsbury edition but in Latvian language hard cover. And in have Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets in Englsih paper back. And in Christmas I got other Harry Potter series that I didn't have. So now I have all 7 HP books. one in Latvian hardcover others six in English paper back. I'm happy :)))

I really do love all of the covers! (except The Philosopher’s/Sourcer’s Stone and the last two) but I like the 2nd 3rd and 4th. I also noticed that the 4th one is the only one taking place in the day!
A Dutch girl who is not the biggest fan of orange... hmmmmm, suspicious :P For these covers number 6 is my favourite cover, Dumbledore just looks so badass and the orange on the naked cover is really striking and nice!

But I still can't afford it. It's too pricey. I do have the original uk editions of Harry Potter on my shelves, 2 in hardcovers and the rest in paperback. But this edition is the best. So gorgeous ❤️
I bought this set from the Harry Potter Studios and agree they look great in the box. The only problem I have is they're a pain to get in and out of the box. No regrets in picking them up but wish I could get to them a bit easier

I have all "regular"books on Swedish, and I bought them on english too, book 1&3 are special editions, book 2 is an american special edition. Book 4 is with "grown up" cover. The last three is the regular edition. Love them all! Cherish and enjoy your new books!
