- In this video, I react to your Fortnite gaming setups and compare them based on your Fortnite ranks! We've done a lot of setup videos on this channel but since Ranked is still fairly new to Fortnite, I thought I might as well incorporate it into a reacting to setups video. Basically what we do is I take a look at your Fortnite rank, I then react to your setup, and finally, based on your rank, I compare it to everyone else's who submitted a setup. PRETTY SIMPLE. As an unreal player, i can confidently say setup matters. Now, don't think i'm talking that you have to have a 4090 to compete with the best, but i'm over here with a 1060 and an i5 5th gen i believe getting 30+fps, or gigantic lag spikes, which makes it very hard to compete with people, since fps drops are very frequent and before i can realize what's happening, i'm already dead.
Tbf to play any game competitively you would need like 70+ fps because when there are stacked end game you would get around 30 and it would still be playable but you would obviously need to upgrade to become the best of the best

This victory cup finals i had a game with 50+ people in the first moving. I could not see sh- with like 6-20fps. I got jumped whilst sitting in a box with loot and by the time i could react i was already dead
i play on a 1650 and a ryzen 5 3500 and was playing 150 then dipping to 40 in fights until i overclocked now i get consistent 180-240
@@yu6788 i can't overclock it since it's a non oc version
if you’re playing on performance mode, the game is more cpu-intensive so the gpu doesn’t really matter too much if you’re playing on performance mode

In my opinion set ups do matter as they increase skill BUT do not make it you do not NEED a good setup but it definitely does give a advantage in game such as more fps quicker refresh rate etc

100% having a good gaming setup will help you with less delay and more frames but I manely depends on your skill you can have a $10000 setup but be wash or have a $500 setup and be cracked.

I was a laptop gamer for about 2 or 3 years, first one was a i7 9700h with a 1660 TI and the second one was as R7 5900HS with a RTX 3070

He has a 10th gen i5 i think based on the sticker, a gtx gpu and its a acer nitro 5 , so he actually gets above 120 fps atleast , he capped his fps to 30 in that video

they do matter and it does impact your game-play but if your running on a laptop with no gpu then its practically unplayable (that's what I play on) but if you can run fortnite at at least 60-120 fps it should be good (basically at the start it makes a big difference BUT later on it doesn't really matter)
