You're so underated. Honestly, the way you present each character is amazing. The storylines are unique and I get attached to characters. I'm crying over an AI that doesn't even exist.

This audio is wonderful and very well made. I very much enjoy the robotic emotions, glitches, and etc. It sounds like a real robot. Not many audios like this are to my liking, but this, this is very good. I love this. Well done!😁

Oh my god this was artistry. I had no idea what I was going in for. I cried! So touching, and full of beautiful subtle details that made it feel realistic. I feel like I lived a truly meaningful scifi short story through this video. Wonderful.

I feel like at this point, Captain is already attached to him and it’s not a question of cutting attachments as it is getting closure. Like talking to someone on their deathbed but a little less morbid. Give him the chance to talk to them genuinely and ask them questions he’s had but couldn’t ask without alerting them that he’s developed a personality. He’s already sentient and already solved the problem ultimately, so why not let him have a bit of joy before he’s erased?
What is we just... delete the code that 'kills' them at the next crash? I wonder if there would be a way to transfer his files somewhere safe, and let the replacement take over the ship?
God y'all get me so attached to these one-off characters it in't even funny anymore-
He's an deep learning AI, he learns as time goes on. If we've actually been cut off from civilization for 12 years i suspect his code, as well as the hardware, are both beyond their life expectancy. To save us time, he's going to create a simpler, non truly intelligent version of himself yo replace him when he auto-destroys and give us maximized chances of survival
Let's pretend there's some sort of storage place(like a pen drive, but *WAY* better) for situations like this, we could transfer his files there before he crashes, let the other take over. I imagine we could put it in a safe/hidden room in the ship, and when we get home send him to maintenance where his previous memories will be restored and happily ever after! :D

I love how the voice was measured and sounded robotic until around 10:55-ish. Your voice became so natural for a minute and gave off a much more human sentience. Twelve years seems to have granted them the level of sentience and emotions equal to that of a human and it's heartbreaking to realize that they will basically die sometime soon after the audio. You did an amazing job with your voice acting as always!
I think this is the first time I've actually commented on one of your videos. Sorry about that, I'm just now trying to learn the habit of liking, commenting, and subscribing. I never learned any etiquette or anything for this kind of thing, but I'm trying to learn how to properly implement these habits so that the people that make the content I enjoy have a reminder that there are people who appreciate their hard work. It's also the only thing I can really do to pay them back for their hard work, since those three interactions are the main way to help a channel out in growing and being recommended to other people. I’m not sure quite what to think of this series now. I’m still happy with the writing of the part I wrote, and the editing is pretty good, but I was not at all expecting the awful direction we’ve seen generative AI stuff take back when I made this. I thought oh it’ll be fun to make a text-to-speech model of my own voice to mix in with my actual recording to make the character sound extra stilted and uncanny. As far as I was thinking I was treating it like a filter, like a way to put an effect on my voice for maybe 10% of the audio. Plus only I had access to the model, and I only used it for these two audios.
Today the term “AI” is tainted, and fairly so. I have - proudly - never used generative AI pictures or text or anything of the like and never will, but now I can’t help but question if I did the wrong thing with this. Is there some way that people’s data was scraped to teach the TTS systems? I don’t know? Is the service being used to replace actual voice actors? Maybe, though I don’t see how without having the person knowingly speaking the required lines, and the model I made wasn’t public. I don’t know, I’m second guessing everything now. Is it fine but just now tainted by using the term AI? I don’t know.
I really don’t know what to think about this one any more. I’ve since deleted the model I made since this character won’t be returning. It was a funny little thing that made an audio sound kinda cool, I just thought of it as a custom TTS service, but given how generative AI is used these days by scraping and regurgitating other people’s work without permission, that my and my friends’ characters have been uploaded to character AI without our permission, and more recently another VA's voice has been cloned for TTS without permission; I can’t help but feel unsure about this audio. I can’t quite put my finger on “this is the problem right here” because it was my own voice knowingly made by me for my own use alone, I don’t know if TTS is the same kind of thing as generative AI, and I’m not aware of the service having used scraped or stolen audio datasets to train it, but all the same I don’t know what to think now, and it’s hard to be proud of this one in particular.
Thought I should be open about that.
