1:49 Facedesk, 2160p IS 4K! You don't drop resolution when using the rear camera. I literally bought this camera because of this and it was one of the few out there that did 4k front and 1080p back at the same time.
@@gilleslafreniere You're confusing a few things here. First, the 2K/4K/5K labels have nothing to do with bytes - at least not directly. They refer to the horizontal screen resolution, i.e., the number of pixels across an image. 4K commonly refers to 3840x2160 (though originally it meant 4096 pixels wide, another story). "2160p" is another label for the same; the "p" at the end means "progressive" (as opposed to "interlaced", where every other "row" is omitted in each frame). Similarly, 2K and 1080p are equivalent, denoting a 1920x1080 pixel resolution. Well - technically the above holds only with 16:9 aspect ratio captures. For instance, the ROVE R2-4K dashcam is *not* 4K (despite its misleading title); however with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a maximum resolution of 2880x2160 it *can* claim "2160p".
Why does it feel they are hiding or limiting the rear camera specs and setup? it's the same in Amazon too. They highlighted the front and just show the rear footage. Also, they are not showing or even orally if the rear camera is separate and how to attach. It smells fishy when they share everything except the most important points or details
It will lock and not overwrite what you just recorded. You will have to look under your park folder to see it. It takes awhile to get use to it but I’m still loving this thing
Does it record 24/7 or only when an incident happens? Does it record accidents in full (like even seconds before the accident happens)? Just curious because I’m looking at getting this for my car
Excellent review 1 quick question There is no access to the cam, files or Gps if the dashcam is not in range of its own Wi-Fi to a receiver am i right ??
The footage you showed in this video is far from clear, it's choppy too. Is this normal? perhaps downsizing it to 1080 would eliminate this choppiness? Based on your footage, I will not be buying this camera.
F7N Dash Cam Parking Hardwires is not good for RAV4 2019 - 2023 installation due to the 12V wire is longer and 5V wire is shorter, 12V/5V converter has no room
I think @HowMuchTech is wrong here. The video at 1:59 shows available resolutions while the rear camera is connected: - 2160P + 1080P - 1440P + 1080P 2160P is of course the same as 4K (3840 x 2160). The rear camera is 1080P regardless.
why cant they put in a 1 1/3 chip in these. They cant make plates out with the small chip size. Its a 30 dollar camera. I am sorry to be a debby downer, its trash.
I just added this camera a few min ago. I also seen a video which is why i got it. There are a few things i didn’t like when i was setting this up. Made me use my hot spot to pair it and wifi. So this one i got didn’t come with the mini sd card so was really annoying setting it up. We will see if i keep it or send it back.
With this model, would I be able to see parking mode from my phone when the car off? Is there a way for me to keep the Wi-Fi on in the camera without it turning off when I turn off the car.
I am in Bangalore. so the driver seat is at front right. Is the side vision and the front left captured as well in this product? Is the parking time also captured as well?
I just purchased this dash cam on Amazon but I’m starting to worry about the hard wiring kit that has a lot of bad reviews did you hard wire your camera into your car ?

you clearly set it up wrong, since you don't need to hit record every time you get in your vehicle. As long as have it plugged in, when the car powers on, it powers on and starts recording.
Most dashcams will not cover those types of incidents. However, it will allow law enforcement to determine fault! They would be able to see if you ran a stop sign or red light, or if you were driving at excessive speeds or driving wrecklessly! If you were driving responsibly then obviously the fault would lie with the person that hit you from the side!

Nope, 2160 is 2K! The K is for kilos which is thousands, thus 4 000 bytes would be 4K.

You can remove the SD card and put it n another device
Yes. You can access it with your iPhone or I just take the SD card out and put it in computwr
via wifi hotspot can see from any where?
@3:58 The footage is very jerky, not sure why you are praising it.
Can the camera turn driver and passenger side window ?
Wish I could connect the already rear cam my truck has for reverse
returned, accessing video is a hassle, not standard. quality wasn't much better than 1080.

looks bad tbh
Quality of video is very terrible for 4k
How does the resolution drop if a rear camera is added?
Don't know, maybe power usage? Quality looks like a potato on the front with the rear added. This video turned me off to it.

Can I use it without connecting to my phone ?
Yeah, all the settings are accessible on the cameras screen and you can take the SD card out to look at the files on another device
Does this record audio as well?
Yes
Does any brand micro sd work, or do the micro card have to be a particular brand?
Any will work
Can the vehicle's backup camera be used instead of the one that comes with it?
No i dnt think so. The aftermarket or oem cameras have a different port.
Is there any way to control what information is recorded in the video? For instance, could one disable the "REDTIGER" logo?
Thanks. Is there a physical button to lock a video clip in case of emergency?
