Original design RC model based on real size snowmobile technology.
I usually count on my own abilities in my projects,
but this time I tried to make a product that can be used by anyone, not just maniacs.
Last winter I had an idea to create a snowmobile, I started immediately, ten months ago.
The video might look rapid, but actually it took a very long time to design an authentic look and working chassis.

It is 90% 3D printed.
The front half is printed of polyamide, which is the most expensive part of the project.
Other parts are printed of ABS and headlights of transparent material.
I used Kyosho blizzard caterpillar which is ideal for such a project.
Also used Axial shocks and ESC, small wheels and bearings from RC4WD Predator Tracks,
custom 3D printed transmission.
Steering "wheel" is made of metal rod.
Polyamide parts are primed and painted with acrylic paint.
The seat is covered with artificial leather.
All the expenses for printing and factory parts were about $700.

3D printing has been used since the 90s for manufacturing products and prototypes... We do it every day at work.
Incredible project, but I think he didn't print the chassis and other polyamide parts at home, to get those results you need an sls printer, maybe he used a third party print service like shapeways

Такими моделями можно заткнуть производителей детских конструкторов , если поставить на поток , и в красивой упаковке. Не только детям захочется собрать , но и их родителям . Нужно двигаться в этом направлении . Проект проектом , но нужно прислушаться ;). Удачи Константин !!! С наступающим !!!

+Dmitry Toushe , в среднем в России набор с радио управлением от 30 000 рублей + пульт . но пусть сам автор цену примерную озвучит
@@user-sq5dc9jg4r Ну тогда никого и никуда он не заткнёт, в его моделях полно мелких деталей в 3D печати, это гораздо дольше и сложнее чем литьевой пластик. Индивидуальная сборка и декорирование это тоже деньги которые он берёт себе и скидывать на это цену покупателю нет ни какого смысла. На западе такая готовая модель от известного автора стоит от 10 000 $- 20 000$ и выше. Обратите внимание у него всё только на английском языке, он нарабатывает себе узнаваемость и популярность в зарубежном сегмента. Ему нахрен не впало заниматься какими-то наборами для домашней сборки в кругу семьи. Если бы вы написали, что готовы купить такой набор тысяч за 200, я бы вам его сделал и прислал в красивой коробке. А 30 000р это смешно.)))
