    Really great look at those. Angel has a burdock plant growing from seed and we have had a hard time telling the difference between it and comfrey. They are so similar. The burdock had a tree branch fall on it during a recent wind storm. Had to top it down and got a bit haggard but coming back now. Another important plant to have in a yard. Thanks for the share!

    Thanks for sharing, Rob. I’m growing two varieties of burdock that I started from seed. You have me motivated to leave one of each to go to seed to try to collect them. It grows wild in my woods. I might harvest some leaves to add to my compost.

Ours grew to about 6 feet last year and even taller this year, after dying back over the Winter. The garden is definitely blessing us this year. If you still need burdock seeds when we save ours, let us know. Always happy to share.

    Good morning Rob, Sounds like there are a lot of uses for burdock. Kris has a wild edibles book for Missouri, Burdock is in the book. When she mentioned burdock, I was like, I know what that is, I herd about t from sapper.

    • @EssayonsFG
      @EssayonsFG  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha! I had just mentioned in a comment/reply that it is everywhere on Fort Leonard Wood. I didn't know it as burdock during basic training, we just called it sticker burrs or sticky burrs. So cool that you and Kris both were talking about that! LOL

    Hey Rob - you missed the most valuable use for a parent of young kids! Wait for the burrs to get dry and let the kids play with wool mittens near the plants. This works well in cold climates - the burrs mysteriously jump onto the mittens while sledding, thus providing a endless opportunity to remove the burrs and bits!

Usually he doesn't like physical affection and mostly does side or back hugs with the women in our family as Mom, my sister, and I are all large busted. Mom is an F cup which is strange for a Filipino. Usually they aren't that curvy. Sis and I are larger cup sizes. I paid some bills and got some things I was low or out of.

    • @EssayonsFG

      It is a bit like comfrey with a long taproot that helps break up hard soil. It grows well in nitrogen rich soils so I'd expect it to have a lot but maybe not to the level of comfrey.
